Administration Assistant Application

We are recruiting for a new role, an assistant to support our editorial team, working directly below the Editorial Assistant and supporting our editorial team with administrative tasks. This is a junior role but there is potential for the role to develop in the future for the right person. It’s a great way to get your foot in the door of a media company. 

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a small and dynamic creative team within a modern, fast paced independent magazine and digital platform.

  • You will need to be able to work to deadlines, use initiative and work autonomously when required.
  • You must have excellent administration and communication skills (both verbal and written) as you will be talking to and emailing wedding brands we work with. 
  • You must be experienced and savvy when it comes to social media platforms and creating web content.
  • Part of this role involves occasionally seeing clients and being present on TJ editorial shoots and at some events, therefore high levels of presentation and confidence are required.

You should already be a fan of Together Journal and be able to clearly understand how Together Journal differs from other media brands within the wedding sector.

This role is a contract role and will sit between 20 to 30 hours per week. You will be working remotely for majority of the time. Ideally the candidate will be in Auckland so you can attend and help on editorial shoots each quarter but it’s not a necessity, we will look at candidates based outside of Auckland.
