Blooms of the week – Leaf & Honey

“The inspiration for this bouquet was to show case the beautiful blooms in season and include many leaf and honey favourites…

Heavily scented garden roses, Julias rose, the antique single rose is one of our absolute favourites.  Also included in the bouquets soft blue tweedia, cafe au lait dahlias, darkest red scabiosa and roses for contrast and depth with beautiful soft trailing jasmine and clematis vine .  In this bouquet and in all of our designs we want each and every bloom to shine and to look interesting and different from different angles.  Everything is loosely put together so everything has it’s place.  I particularly loved the colours, dusky antiques, soft blue and deep, dark reds.  We always like to add a good dose of wild textured greens.

I wanted this bouquet to have a loose, feminine and textured look, an effortless elegance.  I wanted the flowers to look like they would in a wild overgrown garden and work perfectly with my brides beautiful dress.”
