Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love, what is unique about you and your relationship…
We come from completely opposite backgrounds. Maria grew up in the hustle and bustle of Buenos Aires in Argentina and Mia in the German countryside. We are both designers. We met during the second year of our degree at art college in London and have been together ever since — nine years this summer!

What do you love most about each other? Sophie: Callan has a kind heart and is extremely patient. These are qualities that I treasure and love about him.
Callan: There are lots of things I love about Sophie but the thing I love most is that she is carefree yet she cares so much about others.
Iva—I am a television host and Igor is a scientist and a hot air balloon pilot. We love traveling, and the special little things in life, like having friends over for dinner or a bottle of good wine. And yes, we’re suckers for adventure!

Josh is a doctor, Courtney is a pharmacist, we met while we were studying in Otago as neighbours on Castle Street – which is unique in itself. We love that we have practically grown up together as adults, we share lots of memories together of important milestones in both of our lives.
We were sitting in Bar Marsella, Barcelona’s oldest bar, famous for its absinthe and its colourful clientele, which has included Hemingway, Dalí and Picasso. The two of us and Laura’s brother Robin were drinking absinthe, naturally, and (with a little prompting from Robin) James proposed on the spot. A very spur of the moment event in a very special place. The ring came later.

Elliot and I are both wedding photographers from the United States and own a company called “A Nomadic Love”. We travel the world exploring new places every chance we get. We believe that life is about experiences, touching the lives of others and learning about the world and all it has to offer.
