There isn’t much I don’t love about Caitlin. Except maybe her contact lens cases which are constantly sitting open on the bathroom sink. I love that she makes me do things I would never think of, like hiking the Inca Trail, where I proposed.

We met each other a long time ago. Almost 10 years. But we were never friends, just acquaintances who happened to see each other at baby showers, friends’ parties, and birthdays every year.
Ricardo is a journalist and three years ago he decided to quit working in a big company to open his own small business: a second hand book shop called Desculpe a Poeira. He has two children, Ernesto and Petra. I am a makeup artist and I teach makeup classes at my own studio, Liceu de Maquiagem. Also I co-host a show on TV, the Brazilian version of What Not To Wear. I have a daughter, Pina.

We met volunteering for an organisation that houses young people tranistioning from State care toward independent living (called a Lead Tenant program). We ended up both volunteering and living at the same house through a mutual friend, and after several months started dating. Shan is a youth worker and I’m a social worker.

Probably the best way to describe my style is in my client’s words – natural. There is a recurrent theme when people contact me to photograph them and that is that they love how natural my photos appear and how I capture genuine moments. Every wedding is unique and that’s what I get most excited about – capturing a day as it unfolds, all the real moments. I want my couples to feel comfortable being themselves while I take their photos – I encourage laughter and affection and I think that feeling at ease in front of me goes a long way to achieving the natural shots that I get.Read More
