Well, my love for flowers brought him to propose at the botanical gardens here in Newcastle, it was perfect couldn't think of a better place.
It was raining, I was completely exhausted and moaned the whole way up, but when I got to the top, it was all worth it because he got down on one knee!
I actually had a massive sixth sense that Liam was going to propose.. so I messaged the girls excitedly, telling them I was about to get engaged and painted my nails while he was out retrieving the ring!
We worked really hard for several years to get to the point where we could finally be together.
Just after sunset, we went out to enjoy our meal and he proposed just before we sat down to get our evening started.
Once we got to the cove he set up the VCR camera and said he wanted to get both of us in it for a cute video — I was so aware at this point, so I played along. He came over, I turned around and he went down on one knee. I said yes and that was the end of our magical day together, well… so I thought.
We closed out the day watching the sunset on the beach with a bottle of champagne and enjoying each other’s company.
Now, John is an amazing public speaker and is never short of a word, but as he dropped down on one knee, he completely lost all his words and pulled out my beautiful ring.
It's been a chaotic, deranged, and long journey, but it's one that has brought us together, and we couldn't be happier.
