Chaos & Harmony

Chaos & Harmony has been dressing New Zealand’s most fashionable feet for over a decade now but with every collection, our love affair with the label only grows stronger.

For autumn/winter 21, the Kiwi atelier is looking forward to a more positive future while paying homage to the past.

‘Higher Ground’ is an everyday collection designed to be worn for many seasons to come and longtime followers of the brand are sure to recognise some familiar names.

Some of Chaos & Harmony’s staple classics have been reimagined using the label’s favourite lasts and leathers. Each shoe has been carefully designed to carry the wearer from the office to weekend adventurers in one fell swoop with comfort and style at the forefront.

A bold juxtaposition of tones and textures, stud detailing is a key design element here with colourways including warm wines, browns and tans.

Made to tackle the Eastern Hemisphere’s autumn weather, there are a number of slip-on mules to choose from. Together Journal’s favourite? The ‘Emerge’ mule.

The ‘Emerge’

A stylish number destined for long afternoon dates and city breaks, there are three colourways to choose from: black, plum and green croc. After a year spent in slippers, we’ll be opting for the latter in order to inject some much-needed colour into our wardrobe.

Another serious contender for those looking to have some fun with their footwear this autumn is the ‘Keep’ in gold crocodile print.

With a buttery soft criss-cross strap and low textured heel, they’re crying out to one worn everyday – who said you need plans?

Of course, it wouldn’t be a stellar line from Chaos & Harmony without us being completely spoiled for choice by a glorious range of boots.

With a chunky sole and playful pull tabs, the ‘Halcyon’ is a must no matter where you are in the world. Designed to stomp through puddles and dance through the sunshine, these are a real investment for months to come.

But that doesn’t mean they’ve forgotten to upgrade our sandal game. Chaos & Harmony’s latest line has also seen us add a handful of new looks to our ever-growing wish list.

The ‘Rue’ sandal was a firm favourite last season so the shoe extraordinaries decided to bring it out in white too. We have to say, that was a mighty fine idea as they’re super comfortable and it’s high time we stocked up.

In fact, Together Journal’s founder and editor, Greta Kenyon, owns a pair in black.
