RITUALS
As creative artists, we are often privileged enough to be involved in other peoples’ special and intimate Rituals – ceremonies and celebrations, milestones, rites of passage. Rituals are a feature of all known human races and have typically involve sacred symbols and ceremonial traditions and elements such as the use of special dresses and headwear, feasting, decoration, the capture of images and much more. As a nod to this unique experience, Lauren from State of Nature Floral Studio created this collaboration concept as an opportunity to work together with other like-minded individuals in the wedding industry and celebrate these special moments that we get to share with others. This collaboration sought to evoke a deep sense of romance, passion, and freedom of expression and aims to explore modern rituals incorporating traditional elements – for example, a wedding veil, candlelight, flowers. It is inspired by ancient religious symbolism and contemporary fine art principles.
