Surya & Tara – meaning sun and star in Hindi. Bright and bold blooms, rich golden jewels and accents intertwined with traditional Indian elements.
Inspired by the rich colours and textures of Indian heritage and showcasing a modern take on Indian weddings for brides in New Zealand, as opposed to the very traditional weddings seen in India.
The styling team combined elements from both portraits of Indian royalty as well as contemporary New Zealand weddings. Marigolds, sunset tones and gold jewellery are all auspicious symbols for Indian weddings so were incorporated while also using a range of lush flowers and a more modern reception setting.
We love that this shoot embraces a modern style wedding all while respecting and showcasing traditional Indian elements. The perfect inspiration for modern Indian brides based in New Zealand.
