Heidi and I met three and a half years ago, drunk at a club. On our first date she got so nervous she tried to escape out the bathroom window (thankfully it was bolted shut). It isn’t much for the romantics out there, but we definitely feel that the stars aligned that night.

The proposal happened last summer at Garden Cove, a beautiful, secluded beach on Waiheke Island only accessible by boat. Every summer since we met we’ve sailed together, so the sailing proposal was an inspired choice. Anthony rowed me to the beach in a wooden dinghy, champagne at the ready.
