1. Kelsy and Keith by Chasewild

Keith is a musician from Derry City, Ireland (keithharkin.com). He moved to Los Angeles about five years ago but has been touring in America for the past 10 years. Apart from music, Keith loves to surf and build stuff. He built our pub in one of the horse stables on our property for the wedding. I am from Phoenix, Arizona, but have lived in Los Angeles for nine years. I studied fashion design and now I run my own online business, Harkin Headquarters (harkinheadquarters.com), where I sell all the things I love, like handmade tapestries, bags and jewellery from artisans all around the world and Keith’s music. We were married at our new home, which is a 100 plus year-old farmhouse on an island off the coast of Donegal, Ireland. Our whole wedding took place outside, with the exception of two horse stables. One was converted into a beautiful whitewashed buffet room, and the other was turned into a full, functioning Irish pub.

2. Ben and Belle by Jessica Sim

Literally every time I look at him, I fall a little more in love even to this day. Our relationship is special because we genuinely love each other’s company, and have so much fun together, we laugh constantly. I honestly do not know how I was a complete human before I met him, I owe so many of my good qualities to his influence on me. We are both fiercely passionate and loyal to each other, but we also allow and respect that we have our own hobbies and our own independence which keeps us really balanced. I love that he builds me up, lets me to have my own thoughts and opinions and respects them, and isn’t afraid to tell me when I am being a wee bit ridiculous. He is a rare gem, a true gentleman and a beautiful soul. I’m very lucky.

3. Tom & Eli by Holly Burgess

Tom and I couldn’t be more opposite if we tried – I’m a true introvert, fond of yoga, a night in with wine and a book, spending the day seeing where it takes us and a true advocate for the classic “it’ll work out”. Tom is your true extrovert, literally he throws parties for a living, working for Britomart Hospitality as well as owning his own electronic music touring company with a friend, and having his own House DJ project called Blanc on the side.

4. Laura and Greg by Rambo Estrada

I think the creators of dating apps were inspired by relationships that eventuated like ours. We met through Gregory’s younger sister Victoria. Victoria and I can’t remember how we met but we caught up in LA when Victoria was living there and I was there on a layover for work (I’m a flight attendant for Air New Zealand). Of course we discussed our relationship status and Victoria suggested I meet up with her brother Gregory when I returned home. When you know and respect someone you get a good idea of what his or her family will be like. All Victoria told me was his name, his age, that he is taller than me and that he worked for Trade Me. I was curious so I attempted to stalk him on Facebook.

5. Ollie & Emily by Sarah Clements

We live in our cute wee villa home in Kirwee, Canterbury. Both from farming backgrounds, with the love of the farming life and rural setting. Emily from an arable/potato farm in Kirwee. Ollie runs his own engineering business out of Emily’s parents shed on the home farm. Emily works for Farmlands as a technical field officer based in Darfield. We have been together for 6 years. We met through friends of friends. We started to get to know each other by going fishing at the river together with friends and then continued these trips on our own. Ollie is a great organiser for perfect surprises. He has organised many surprise trips, one being where we got engaged at Lake Tekapo.

6. Petra & Dave by Wild & Grace

We are both very family oriented people and are both very close with our parents.  Our relationship has moved pretty fast.  I always swore I would never go on Tinder but I’m so grateful for my girlfriends and red wine for pushing me to give it ago.  Within a day or two Dave and I were chatting away and sussed each other out pretty quick.  I knew within a few weeks that I was going to marry this man.  He made me sparkle again when I thought I had lost my sparkle, we have a lot of fun and both were on the same page and same stage of life. I think on our one month anniversary we pretty much planned our life together.  We dove straight in and in 3 months we were living together, 7 months we had brought our first home, 11 months we were engaged, 1 1/2 we got married and we have now been together just over 2 years but if feels like we have known each other forever.

7. PJ & Hannah by Diana Vollmerhausen

We have always bonded over music. On one of our early dates we ended up skipping dinner and going home to play each other our favourite songs; well, to be honest PJ preached his favourite music to me and I fell in love with it. We still love to spend evenings, and late into the next morning, playing each other our favourite songs. We play a little bit ourselves, as well. PJ has amassed a fairly substantial record collection. He was very restrained in the year leading up to the wedding while his spending habits had to be reined in. He’s relieved to be buying new music again. My 9-5 is as a creative writer in advertising.

8. Sarah & Johny by Jimmy Raper

We were together for 10 years before we got engaged. What makes us unique is that we’ve sort of grown up together and shared a lot of experiences throughout that time. We lead busy lives, Johnny is an Operation Manager for a Survey company, and Sarah work’s in Marketing at a bank. We first met down in Dunedin and were set up by friends. We recently moved back to Auckland after spending 5+ years overseas between France, the UK and Australia.

9. Kate & Hereward by The Virtue

We based our wedding around one keyword which was ‘classic’. We didn’t choose anything that was on-trend, we wanted a day that would never date, and would be a beautiful experience for our guests to witness how much we love each other. We chose to have the day at Mudbrick on Waiheke island during winter because be wanted everyone to feel like they were on holiday in the most amazing place at the most hibernal time of the year. This really set the tone for the day and made for amazing moody lighting and energy. We didn’t do anything that hadn’t been done before, or that wouldn’t be done again, but our intense and undeniable love was the one thing that seemed to set us apart and make our day memorable.

10. Lashara & Josef by Ash Muir

We both have a huge love for fitness and a good black coffee – we would go to the gym together & catch up for a coffee regularly but always just as friends & nothing more. When we first got together we both worked as personal trainers in the same gym. We trained together everyday – Joey even proposed to me in the middle of one of our favorite workouts. Now that Joey works longer hours as an engineer & me as a yoga teacher & fulltime mum to our son Kyran we don’t get to train together as much but it is something that we try do together at least once a week. Its our favorite way to spend quality time together. When you ask what we love our lists are really the same – we love our son Kyran, our puppy girl Lunar, Our Families, Fitness, Health, setting goals together, going to the beach, family holidays, surfing, yoga, coffee, wine, carrot cake & of course each other. Some people say when a couple has to many things in common they are not compatible or clash – I feel like this isn’t true for us and what makes us unique.
