So it comes as no surprise to learn that electrifying citrus notes reign this powerful scent. Italian bergamot and primofiore lemon sit at its heart, making for a light, fruity fragrance for brides and maids alike.
Like the Italian sun: white musk, Madagascan vanilla absolute and Virginia cedar wood envelope the skin in warmth. While damascan rose blooms as the finishing couture note leaving a delicate, romantic touch.
The Born in Roma Yellow Dream eau de toilette for him is also a love letter to the city. But this time, Italian mandarin and pineapple play the lead role with spicy gingerbread and cedarwood as the cool and couture notes.
The accompanying Maison Valentino film depicts two lovers hopping on a motorcycle to find solace in a lavish estate, hidden from the bustle of the city.
There, they are seen dancing with friends in the glow of candles and the sinking sun.
Although a twist on tradition with its name in fluorescent lettering, the Born In Roma bottle is still made recognisable with the world-famous Valentino studs draped across its shoulders.
