Tim\u2013 I play professional cricket, hence the winter wedding. I\u2019m a keen golfer, love time spent with our family and friends, enjoy a good flat white and people watching. Morgan\u2013 I work in cricket \u2014 I\u2019m the marketing and communications manager for one of the teams Tim plays for, which is hilarious because before we met I knew nothing about cricket. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

I also work as a marriage celebrant which makes for a busy summer with both cricket and weddings. I love all things weddings and events. It\u2019s just such an honour to be part of such a special occasion. I also LOVE shopping, cooking, cleaning an espresso martini and a night out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tim\u2013 My first impressions of Morgan were that she was beautiful and stylish… She wore very nice clothes!
Morgan\u2013 We met in early 2018 when I was working for an advertising agency who sponsored Tim\u2019s cricket team. My first impression was that he was very young… that\u2019s because he kind of is. I also thought he was super handsome and, wow\u2014 he was persistent!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tim\u2013 It was while I was on tour in Dubai and away from Morgan that I realised I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. The proposal was a bit of a balls up (literally). I was in quarantine and found out that, when I got out, I\u2019d have a 24-hour window to ask Morgan to marry me before leaving on another tour.
So I wrote everything I\u2019d like to say on a cricket ball which I planned to throw to her. Unfortunately she saw it in my luggage and read the words… But I managed to get her outside and throw the ball to her. She said YES.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Morgan\u2013 Deciding on a theme for the wedding was a tough one for me, as I see different weddings every weekend with my celebrant work and am always taking notes on the things I love. We ended up with a modern, chic, classic, fun, timeless vibe. Takapoto Estate is the most beautiful venue, so I didn\u2019t need to go overboard with the styling. I wore two incredible custom-made dresses by Katie Yeung at Hera Couture. The first was made from french crepe and was a dream. My \u2018party\u2019 dress was so different and fun, it absolutely reflected my personality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tim and I did a tap dance for our first dance so it was nice to have something that
was easy to dance in. Tim\u2013 I\u2019d had my stag do the weekend before and ended up with a black eye,
so on the morning of the wedding Morgs sent her makeup artist to our house after she had finished
with the girls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Morgan\u2013 I had dreamt of this day for so long and didn\u2019t want to regret anything, so we did splurge on a few things, and are so pleased we did. It was just perfect, and a dream come true. We didn\u2019t decide on a videographer until a few weeks before and that was the cherry on the cake. We wanted everyone to just have the best day with good food and good wine. Tim had been overseas for a few months leading into the wedding and actually got Covid in India so it was a stressful time leading up to the big day. It made for even more of a celebration having him back home and healthy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
