Amélie George launches new collection: La Lumiére

Low-key dress codes, living room elopements and vows over Zoom: the wedding industry isn’t the same as it was 18 months ago. Mirroring this shift from tradition is Amélie George’s dazzling new campaign: La Lumiére.

A marriage between bold and sophisticated, the three-part offering is designed to be cherished long after the special day. Inspiring brides to break free of trends, the Melbourne atelier has introduced new jewellery, veils and vegan furs designed to fit seamlessly into the modern wardrobe.

First up: the jewellery. Each delightful piece celebrates the beauty and magic of the pearl from minimal studs to bolder silhouettes.

The fuss-free bride will fall for the Dakota, a gorgeous pearl stud destined for dinner dates beyond the ceremony. While Matilda is a real conversation-starter with a cluster of pearls in varying sizes designed to delicately frame the face. Both styles are available in gold, silver and rose gold.

Winter brides may consider the Kate, a snowflake-shaped earring designed to catch the glow of the late afternoon sunshine. Together Journal’s favourite? The Maleny is a must for those wanting to play a bold style move, especially with hair slicked back.

As thought that wasn’t enough to keep the Amélie George team busy during lockdown, there is also a beautiful new line of veils to peruse. Deeply romantic, there are three styles to choose from with lace, flower or pearl appliqué.

Each veil comes in both short and cathedral lengths with intricate detailing embroidered on each accessory whether that’s dainty pearls or soft blooms. What’s more, each veil comes in a detachable format. Last season, Amélie George created the world’s first VCLIP Detachable Veil system which revolutionised the bridal industry in one fell swoop.

Designed to give brides the freedom to change their look throughout the day, the veil can easily be added and removed with ease – allowing brides to adapt their aesthetic for photographs or the evening reception.

The accessory house’s final offering is a line of featherlight vegan furs, designed to be worn over the bride’s gown. A look that will outlast the seasons, it doesn’t matter whether you’re saying “I do” in the cooler months or want a stylish way to keep warm when the sun goes down.

Beautifully simple, they can be worn with all styles of gown or pant suit and will make for grand outings even after the big day. As per every collection, we can’t wait to see brides across Australasia wear a little piece of Amélie George magic for one of the most special times in their life.

La Lumiére will launch between 16-23 September 2021 with new wedding pieces added to the website every day.
