This season, SABEN’s collection introduces new silhouettes and innovative features, creating looks that are both contemporary and timeless. Each piece showcases a thoughtful balance of colour, texture, and form, along with some surprises and twists on classics that fans have come to expect from Creative Director, Roanne Jacobson’s signature design aesthetic.
Inspired by the ocean’s sensory beauty, Aqua Aura evokes introspection with a serene colour palette transitioning from aqua to deep-sea blues, bronze, and silvers that reflect light on water, to the timeless tones of organic seacoasts. This collection pays homage to the ocean, incorporating design elements that echo the movement of waves and the tranquility of open water.
Ocean Blues
Aqua Aura explores the calming influence of blue, known for fostering relaxation and introspection. From serene skies to ocean depths, blue is cherished in color therapy for its tranquil qualities. In today’s uncertain world, finding peace through nature is more vital than ever.
The rhythmic motion of waves and the beauty of coastal and underwater landscapes are reflected in designs that blend artistic vision and craftsmanship. Wide weaving patterns mirror the ocean’s surface, while tight weaves symbolize marine life’s interconnectedness. Each bag takes up to 12 hours to handcraft, making the process meditative. The Tilly’s Big Sis Crossbody in Wave—a soft aqua hue—is a pocket of calm you can carry anywhere.
Beach Sand and Shells
SABEN’s summer vision captures tranquility and ocean energy beyond blues, embracing the hues of ocean floors, reefs, and seashells. Often called “Jewels of the Sea,” shells symbolize protection, resilience, and interconnectedness, offering stress relief as symbolic shields. Honoring these traits, SABEN introduces the seashell-inspired color, Sand, in this collection, featuring a limited edition “Shell” charm keyring that celebrates the strength and wisdom associated with these jewels.

Diving In
The natural rhythms of waves crashing against the shore or water lapping at a wharf evoke calm and tranquility. SABEN celebrates these oceanic elements in their collection, inviting wearers to embrace peace through each thoughtfully crafted accessory.
The collection introduces ‘Dane’ and ‘Nikita,’ two new styles that continue the love for shoulder bags, crafted with SABEN’s signature mindfulness and style.

Oceans are for Everyone
Protecting the ocean’s health is vital so that everyone can enjoy its gifts. As part of SABEN’s commitment to people and place, 1% of sales from the first two weeks of the Collection Launch will be donated to Sustainable Coastlines, a New Zealand charity focused on preserving our moana (ocean) for future generations.
This organization unites communities to fight plastic pollution, aiming to reduce coastal litter by 60% by 2030 through clean-up events, educational programs, and public awareness campaigns. Since 2009, Sustainable Coastlines volunteers have removed over 1.8 million liters of litter from Aotearoa’s coastlines, contributing to healthier ecosystems and lasting positive change.
