We are looking for a part-time Creative Assistant
BECOME PART OF OUR TEAM
Together Journal is seeking a passionate and dynamic creative assistant to join our team part-time, working between 8 to 10 hours per week (we can be flexible on days and times). In this role, you’ll report to and collaborate directly with our founding editor, taking on tasks such as creating full-page magazine ads using our design guides and templates, crafting and scheduling some of our social media content (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Pinterest), web publishing and and various administrative duties as needed.
Key Requirements:
- Basic skills in InDesign or familiarity with other Adobe products, with a willingness to learn InDesign.
- Experience with WordPress or similar user-friendly website publishing tools (no coding required).
- Experience using Canva, Instagram scheduling tools, TikTok, Pinterest, and Facebook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A deep love for weddings, fashion, and special occasions.
- Ideally based in Auckland, but we will consider applicants from similar time zones outside of Auckland or New Zealand.
- This is a part-time, remote contract position.
- Experience with and a love for social media is key.
This role could suit someone who has already worked in media, or a wedding photographer, stylist or other type of wedding vendor who has been running their own wedding business but now wants to branch out into other areas within the wedding sector or have a side hustle alongside their wedding business. It could also suit an influencer or content creator who wants some stable and regular part-time work to supplement their income. It could also be perfect for a design, PR, communications, or marketing graduate or someone in their final years of study who wants work experience. There is potential for this role to grow and develop for the right person.
