Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love, what is unique about you and your relationship…
We met as teenagers while still in high school and quickly became infatuated with each other. We knew right away we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. It wasn’t long until we brought our fur baby Shelby into our home and she became the apple of our eyes. We are both very similar people when it comes to the things we love and what we want to achieve together so we’re excited to see where married life takes us. Matt proposed while celebrating our 5-year anniversary at Auckland Museum under a beautiful sunset. We are both relatively private people and knew we wanted to have an intimate wedding with our closest family and friends. Knowing these people would travel to be there for our special day, we held our ceremony at the beautiful Thurlby Domain in Queenstown just after our 6-year anniversary.

Tell us about your special day, was there a specific theme or style? Tell us a little about the setting, the styling and some of your favourite details…
It was truly the best day of our lives and couldn’t have been more perfect. We loved every single moment and will forever cherish the memories we made on our wedding day. We wanted to keep our wedding timeless and let the beauty of Queenstown be the focus. We had beautiful white blooms with lots of foliage and wood accents to match the ruins of Thurlby Domain. We kept the bridal party modern and dressed them in the same colours as the Bride and Groom. Our reception venue showcased spectacular views of the Remarkable Mountain range. We kept our styling to beautiful floral centrepieces, silver foil stationery and a candle lit dinner.

Tell us about your main outfits:
Kim was fortunate enough to be the winner of the dream dress competition and have Trish Peng design and create her dream wedding dress. Matt wore a slim fit navy suit from Hallensteins finished with a black tie. He and his groomsmen wore matching gear stick cufflinks.

What were some of the most memorable/unique moments from the day?
For both of us our trip in a helicopter up to the Remarkable Mountain range was the most memorable. We always knew it would be a very special moment, but nothing can compare to standing on that mountain looking out over the beautiful views for the first time as husband and wife. Another favourite part of our day was having all our family and friends together celebrating our love.

Any advice for other couples planning to spend the rest of their lives together?
Be on the same team, love each other hard, be proud of each other and never take life too seriously
