Saben is every New Zealander’s first point of call when it comes to accessorising for weddings, honeymoons and everything in between. Naturally, we couldn’t wait to tell you all about their latest collection: Wild Garden.
Grounded in an earthy palette of alabaster, clay, ivy and orchid; the label’s new line is a stylish ode to the natural world. In keeping with the theme, each delightful accessory was shot nestled against the joyous artwork of Carmel van der Housen at Turua Gallery.
“Wild Garden embodies the comforting effect nature has on us. Now more than ever, we want to harness the calming influence nature has on the soul, looking inwards, taking time and shaking off the pressures of the world,” founder Roanne Jacobson says.
“The need to reconnect with our people and places while looking inward, we are reassured that the sun will continue to rise and the seasons continue to change.”
Orchid and Monarch are this season’s new hero hues, which are sure to entice brides and maids alike come spring/summer.

While longtime Saben devotees will be pleased to see some of their favourite silhouettes, we’re talking Tilly’s Big Sis and Goldie, making a comeback. Boasting a chunky weave, Goldie is destined for beach days while Together recommends Tilly’s Big Sis for summer dates and office-to-weekend dressing.
Newcomers Gigi and Coco are also sure to prove a hit courtesy of their trademark Saben design features: chain detailing and ultra-chic multifunctionality.

Meanwhile, the black and clay colourways are surefire contenders for those seeking a transeasonal bag that’ll carry you through to next winter in style. Together’s favourite? We love the woven style of Tilly’s Big Sis this season in black and cream while the classic silhouette in Tea Rose is always a firm favourite for spring maids.
Psst, Saben is also planning to launch new styles in September and November so make sure to keep your eye out for updates…
Wild Garden will launch online and in store from mid-August. Visit Saben online or follow @sabenltd on Instagram to find out more.
