We kept the colour palette neutral because the entire hotel is painted pink!
We started saying, “I really, reeeaalllyy like you” to each other – it was this cheeky, knowing way of loving on each other without totally confessing it, but I knew it back then, we were made for each other.
What we would put down to our working so well as a couple is that we both find so much joy and humour in so many of the same things.
And whilst Clayton had promised himself that he would actively avoid dating a Waiuku girl, that all changed the moment he set eyes on Kate. He knew that she was different from the rest.
We stayed at a romantic little hotel called The Hotel at the End of the Universe and got back together soon after.
