There’s a breadth of fabrics to select from and clients are able to personalise linings, buttons and styling details. The final look will be beautifully created in Europe.
Whether it’s a suit you wear to work each week, which must allow for movement and durability, or special occasion garments, such as for your wedding, which can be made from more delicate fabrics it’s all about getting the right material, fit and style for you, which is something the Working Style team are experts at.
But it’s not all about the boys, as the Kiwi label is making waves in womenswear too. Working Style recently made its foray into the world of women’s suiting with a carefully considered collection of over 30 different suits fit for every kind of occasion. Each piece is made to order with fit, comfort and style playing the lead role. The collection includes tailor-made jackets in polished cotton, velvet, silk and tweed, and tailored and boyfriend fit shirts by a New Zealand shirtmaker.
Sharon Orquejo, who has been with the Working Style team for over 15 years, led the design and curation of the collection. With a background in textile design and a thorough understanding of Working Style’s roots, she knew exactly which boxes to tick when it came to creating great womenswear.
“I noticed a real gap in the market,” says Orquejo. “Our male customers have always been able to get anything they want made by us, drawing on premium resources from around the world. They simply make a cloth selection from a Cut Length Mill and then we make a garment to their exact size and specification with our tailors in Portugal.”
