We met where all good relationships are made — in the office. We worked in the same department at L’Oreal Australia and became great friends after bonding over our shared love of music.
Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love…
Alex- We are both from Auckland but live in London and have done for nearly 4 years now! We both work in food and our jobs, although for separate organisations, are quite intertwined and a slight conflict of interest which has been interesting over the years! We are quite lucky though, in that we have a great understanding of what the other one spends their days doing and the trade chat round home is very regular.
Sam- We are both very social, have extremely close and big families and live busy but very full lives. We love to travel, try new restaurants and head to the pub with friends, but each other and our families will always come first, it is a strong value of ours we are always aligned on.
We are photographers and authors, and communication consultants. Nath is a story coach. Rach is a public speaker and artist, and we work together every waking hour, and we love it.

Ralph is a motion graphics designer and I am a film director. We have been in London since 2013 and were friends for six years before we got together.

Des– I’m a veterinary nurse, Davis is a sports physiotherapist, and we both absolutely love what we do. We share a love for the ocean, coffee, and a good hike. We also like to host a bloody good games night with our friends (feat. Davis’ master cocktail skills and my absolutely-not-toxic competitive nature).
Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love…
BW- I am the list maker, planner and overthinker! Tash is the charmer, yarner and has the “Good Vibes Only” Mantra. Tash is the Auckland area manager for New Zealands biggest leading menswear brand and I am a hairstylist of nearly 15 years and salon manager, this leads to us both having a shared interest in style, which can also sometimes be cause for debate!
Owen and I worked out pretty quickly that we’re incredibly similar — apart from him being a morning person and me being a night owl. We both work in funds management; the same job at different companies. Our work can be demanding, so it helps that we have a good understanding of what each other does.
We’re both family orientated and have creative minds. I’m an interior designer and lucky enough to work alongside my mother, Rose Schwarz, for our spatial and interior design studio, Schwarz Design.
Melanie is Group CEO of Socialites Group, Australasia’s largest indie social media agency. Her four children – Zac (15), Jasper (13) and Indie (12) with baby Willow (8 months) makes for a colourful, loud and crazy life but something she is thankful for…
Erin– I’m the digital and deputy editor for Remix Magazine, as well as a freelance copywriter. My passion is translating people and their stories onto the page. Nothing beats the feeling of seeing your words published!
We met at a local football club… became good friends for a couple of years and friendship turned into more. We have been together now for 9 years and time flies when you’re having fun! The rest is history! Oh and I must say Michael’s blue eyes may have had something to do with it.
