There is that “movie moment” that you always see in films about the main character just knowing when they met the love of their life. I always thought it was a cliche, but when I met Shaelyn and started spending more time with her I recognized that I had a feeling that something was just right. It’s hard to put into words. But you truly just know.
We both wanted very clean, minimalistic yet detailed and personalized decor, flowers and setting.Since we both have been to several weddings, we knew one thing for sure; how our wedding should not be – in typical Austrian tradition.
I think it’s fair to say that even as kids we knew it was something special and it was something we knew we’d fight and work hard for. Our relationship has never been easy, but making the decision to spend the rest of our lives together was.
Jenny – We live in Munich, Germany and both work passionately in the real estate industry. We work as part of a team during the days, and in the evenings we work together on our own real estate projects. We wanted it to be classic, a bit glamorous and warm in atmosphere. Neither of us wanted to worry about weather in the lead up, and we both have older family members who we wanted to be comfortable on the day, so when we looked at the Convent in Daylesford, it ticked every box.
We had an Autumn wedding so we went for intimate, romantic vibes. We initially liked the idea of eloping but our friends and family definitely weren’t keen on that! We had only 40 guests and no bridal party and the entire day was perfect. We got our elopement moment when we flew to Lake Lochnagar and Twin Peaks via heli after the ceremony.
