Jayden knew I didn’t want a big fuss when it came to proposing so when he asked me to marry him on one of our beach walks, I said yes. It was perfect.

Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love…

I am a qualified and practicing interior designer. I love all things creative including art, beauty, interiors and fashion! Jayden is a plumber. He also appreciates art and fashion so we are very similar in that sense. Working in a trade makes him very hands-on, so we really go hand in hand when it comes to projects around the house and doing things for ourselves. Our first big project we worked on together was flipping our first property – we learnt so much about ourselves as a couple and how we complement each other – it was such a fun and rewarding experience. We became stronger as a couple and achieved even more than we thought we could. It honestly solidified our relationship. We love holidaying together and we are very fortunate to say we have travelled overseas and to some beautiful coastal towns and alpine regions in Aus. Our Summers are spent in Melbourne relaxing on our boat with family and spending time with our pooch Shadow.

How/where/when did you meet – and what were your first impressions?

About 5 years ago now, we met at a bar in chapel street, Prahran after coming across each other on facebook. We actually had heaps of mutual school friends but never crossed paths until that night. Jayden had a get-together at the same bar I was headed to for work drinks, so naturally we met up. I think I knew the moment I saw Jayden that he was the one. He had long hair back then and a cool, laid back sense of style. We clicked the moment we started talking and the rest is history!

When did you first realise that this was someone you’d like to spend the rest of your life with?

A few weeks into dating we became official. It didn’t take very long for Jayden to say I love you. I knew then we were going to be together for a very long time.

Was there a proposal? Tell us a little about it…

Yes! We were holidaying in Palm Cove QLD. Jayden knew I didn’t want a big fuss when it came to proposing so when he asked me to marry him on one of our beach walks, I said yes. It was perfect.

Tell us about the vision you had for the mood or style of your wedding…

Oh my gosh to be honest this was the hardest part of the planning process! I had so many different ideas and couldn’t decide which way I wanted to go. My style is very simple and minimal day-to-day so I decided to use that as a starting point and build the theme from there. Jayden and I grew up and still live by the bay so we really wanted to incorporate a beachy theme through the styling. I did this by incorporating blue accents through white and cream florals and keeping the bridesmaids dresses white. Port Phillip Estate has stunning ocean views too. Being on the peninsula was the perfect setting for us.

Tell us about your main outfits, what was unique, is there a story?

My second dress was a very last minute addition to the night. Mum and I were shopping in Armadale one day when we came across the little bow dress. I just fell in love and thought it would be such a fun addition. I am so thankful I did as I just love the photos that Lei captured of me wearing it.
