The day was set to be traditional but with contemporary touches, as the first same-sex couple to be married at St Columba’s Church of Scotland in London.
I could nearly say that I loved her from the very start.
We didn’t want anything overcomplicated, just modern, chic and bold, with pops of colour.
We wanted our wedding to feel meaningful, authentic and, above all, fun.
Throughout the years, we have learned to appreciate each other’s differences and get inspired by each other’s strengths.

I ended up developing a multi-layered canopy of antique chandeliers hung at different levels so guests would feel ‘wrapped’ in soft lighting.
We envisioned bright, classic and cosy.
We wanted it to feel like the gardens in Studio Ghibli movies, Coraline, and Dr. Seuss books.
