Coach Dreams is here to inspire your next great adventure

Flights are grounded and borders closed with pockets of the globe holding our summer plans under lockdown.

But Coach’s latest fragrance, Dreams, is here to remind us that we don’t need a European extravaganza or far-flung island getaway to escape.

This season, the American powerhouse has paid tribute to the joy and friendship found on the great open road – inspiring us to find appreciation for what’s been on our doorstep all along.

Inspired by the sense of freedom that comes behind the wheel of an open-top car – fitting for the post-pandemic world – Coach has bottled up the sights and smells of Joshua Tree.

Transporting us to the Californian national park in one fell spritz, the fragrance tells the tale of friends tearing through the desert in a vintage Cadillac – leaving their fears for tomorrow in the dust.

Bringing us along for the ride, master perfumer Antoine Maisondieu captured this sense of adventure by sourcing the base note from an actual Joshua Tree.

Paying further homage to the Palm Springs haven, the fragrance boasts punchy notes of bitter orange, lemon and gardenia – a trio of scents which mimic the wild romance of neighbouring cactus flowers.

If that isn’t enough to see you pencil in a spontaneous road trip, the package that arrived in the Together Journal mailbox even featured an old school disposable camera.

Encouraging us to capture our everyday adventures on film, it’s never been more important to celebrate the moment – whether that means plastering thumb-laden prints across the fridge or sending copies to your nearest and dearest.

For those needing one last nudge towards the till, the perfume is housed in a vintage-style apothecary bottle – a design destined for the bathroom shelf.

So before you strike through your summer plans altogether, consider the message emblazoned across the box.

Call up your friends, chuck your weekend bag in the trunk of your car and find the magic in the moment (just don’t forget to photograph your adventures along the way).
