Alexandra is an interior designer and David is a property developer. We both love construction and design, family, and new adventures.
Our relationship is unusual in that we also work together. We are constantly collaborating on projects, both personal and professional. We work exceptionally well as a couple and as a work team. We love to bounce ideas off each other and we naturally push and inspire each other every day. We met on a double date, although we were actually dating each other’s friends. Our respective dates both mentioned afterwards that we seemed much better suited than they did. They were right! We truly feel like we work best as a team, whether in our personal lives or as a business partnership. We have had some pretty special milestones along the way and it’s an added bonus to be with someone who truly understands your work and can celebrate it with you. Our greatest adventure to date has been welcoming our beautiful daughter, Minnie, into the world in 2017. We decided to marry while we were pregnant with her. We had a trip to Europe planned and David suggested we tie in a destination wedding. On the day Minnie was born, he formally proposed in our kitchen before we set off for the hospital, much to my surprise and delight. As part of our wedding adventure to Italy, we planned a series of visits to local eateries, wineries and attractions for our guests. It was a wonderful way for guests to experience what Puglia has to offer, and to spend time together before the actual wedding. Many of our guests had never ventured to, or even heard of the region. We put our trust in our planner and let her work her magic based on mood boards we had put together. We loved the idea of the groom’s party wearing linen suits. It seemed perfect for the location and time of year. The most memorable moment of our wedding was announcing at the very end of our speeches that we are expecting another child in 2019. Our family and friends were all incredibly surprised, which added to the fun and celebratory excitement of the day. Second to that was the dancing. Our band was absolutely incredible and had guests up and dancing for hours, right from our entree serve time until 4am!
