Hera Couture was recently in New York for Bridal week, and while we were there we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to squeeze in a photoshoot. Our good friend Sophie from Love Find Co styled the shoot, and this is what she said about the day…
I chose to shoot in the West Village as I wanted to feature a different perspective. Most New York fashion shoots are in time square, near the bridge or in Soho. But I love West Village, it has incredible architecture which compliments the Hera gowns perfectly.
Although the weather wasn’t great on the day, it created an incredible mood and feeling. Kas Richards, our photographer, captured the atmosphere beautifully. She is an award winning Melbourne based photographer, who was the ideal choice to showcase the elevated high end style of Hera Couture’s new collection.
While the rain was great for mood, it wasn’t so beneficial for styling! Hair started off curly and full but as the day moved through our gorgeous model’s hair became quite wet – so we improvised! The look ended up classic and epitomised Hera’s sophisticated air.
I also attended NY Bridal week which was inspirational and while I was there I soaked up as many exciting new trends and directions as I could. Dramatic sleeves were one of the most popular looks, along with simple silhouettes that showcase impeccable fit and beautiful fabrics.
