Together Journal #27 DIGITAL

Well, here we are, already over halfway through 2022 and delivering issue 27! We’ve had so much fun putting this issue together! With restrictions easing, our ability to reconnect with people from our community was an extra boost.

We travelled to Queenstown and met with photographers Jai Long and Meagan Brown, who flew in from Melbourne (hurrah for no travel restrictions at long last!) to produce the beautiful shoot on page 172. Climbing to the top of a mountain far above the clouds at dawn with an entourage of talented local and international vendors was certainly worth braving the cold and windy roads for.

After years of complications and challenges of a pandemic, business is finally booming in the wedding industry! Most brands have learnt not just to live with but to flourish in its wake. We are so proud to tell some of these success stories. Crane Brothers has opened a new store. Cittá is exhibiting at a prestigious American design show. And a new venture, Backyard Weddings, has launched. The Hotel Britomart is on show; The Facialist provides us with all the skincare tips, and our friends at Godavari Diamonds and WORLD Brand their much-anticipated fine jewellery collaboration. To top it all off, we have a glorious fashion editorial photographed by Danelle Bohane, whose work has graced our pages since we first began, and who is known the world over for her extraordinary fine art photography.

This issue includes 14 spectacular weddings for you to browse. Highlights for us are Madi’s sunshine yellow two- piece reception ensemble, a pink bridal suit worn by Luise, and the glorious floral bridal dress donned by Kate. These are all examples of couples doing things completely differently to suit themselves. But if you want to keep it more low-key, in a modern Together Journal way, there is plenty more in this issue to inspire you.
