Together Journal #36 Digital

And here it is the final Together Journal issue of the year! It’s hard to believe we’re already in the twilight of 2024. The last quarter is often a favourite of mine. For those of us in the southern hemisphere, the weather warms, we embrace the sunshine, plan our biggest holiday break of the year, and celebrate Christmas along with the start of wedding season.
In this issue, we proudly present the wedding stories of 12 truly unique couples. Our goal, as always, is to showcase the full spectrum of weddings, capturing the diversity and beauty of each celebration. From bold pops of colour to understated palettes, we feature everything from intimate city elopements to lavish three-day affairs. You’ll find weddings on islands, in the countryside, in cityscapes, in grand estates, and even in the comfort of backyards. This issue takes you across the globe — to France, Italy, Mexico, England, New Zealand and Australia — and each story takes a distinctive approach to love and celebration.
This year I’ve observed a rise in modern wedding platforms and the launch of several new magazines, each bringing fresh perspectives to the ever-evolving world of contemporary weddings. It’s exciting to see how these new voices are shaping trends in such creative ways. For the industry, this is a wonderfully positive shift. Finally, the wedding sector is gaining the momentum and recognition it deserves as a truly design- driven industry.
Innovation has been contagious. For nearly three years, we’ve been quietly developing our own wedding website platform, TJ Lovers, which we are proud to unveil in this issue. Meanwhile, LENSEL, a dynamic new platform, is making waves by uplifting wedding photographers and fostering education, promotion, and community-building. And then there’s Katie Yeung of Hera Couture, a constant maverick in bridal fashion, heading to New York to showcase her latest collection, Distilled Finesse.
One of the curious aspects of working in publishing is the sense of living perpetually in the future. We’re already deep into planning content for 2025, previewing collections and innovations from designers that won’t reach the market for months. It’s easy to get swept up in the excitement of what’s ahead. Yet, I find myself making a conscious effort to stay present, and what better way to do that than by immersing in this issue? Here, we pause to celebrate the finest moments and unforgettable occasions that defined 2024.
