Real Wedding

We wanted to make the whole weekend feel really grand, for all of those that had never experienced a classic British wedding.

After some cheese and a game of Uno, Sarah handed Jes a box filled with photos of their adventures and beloved cats, as well as a card popping the question!

Will and I met 13 years ago in my hometown of Albany. He was on summer holidays from university, and I had just returned from travelling in Europe.

We grew up together in our 20s, making incredible memories and having fun together, so I guess it just happened over time.

I said yes under the Northern Lights, which was truly so special and one of the most exciting nights of our lives.

There was such a strong connection between us, and I remember thinking, “Wow, this is what love actually feels like!”

Well, my love for flowers brought him to propose at the botanical gardens here in Newcastle, it was perfect couldn’t think of a better place.

It was raining, I was completely exhausted and moaned the whole way up, but when I got to the top, it was all worth it because he got down on one knee!

I actually had a massive sixth sense that Liam was going to propose.. so I messaged the girls excitedly, telling them I was about to get engaged and painted my nails while he was out retrieving the ring!

We worked really hard for several years to get to the point where we could finally be together.

Just after sunset, we went out to enjoy our meal and he proposed just before we sat down to get our evening started.
