Daughters Of Simone bridal gown designer Brittany Castaños designs against the grain, seeking to use her collections to tell stories of women that are usually untold and unseen.

Brittany, the "Strong-willed child," was raised by former California hippies. After making her way through five universities, she eventually attained a degree in Cultural Anthropology.

Soon after, Castaños stumbled her way into the bridal industry--allured by the opportunity to upset the puritanical and antiquated views of the "Virgin bride." Brittany is of Swedish and Mexican ancestry, has a 3-year-old son (Jude), and lives in Fresno, California.
