Based in Northern Italy, Maaike Kolner is a Dutch destination wedding and elopement photographer working across Italy and Europe, open to traveling wherever a couple needs her.
Working in English, Italian, Dutch and German, she shoots on 35mm film and digital, with a particular love for black and white, drawn to emotion and the small, unscripted moments between people.
With over 25 years in Italy, she combines an outsider's curiosity with an insider's local knowledge. She works unobtrusively, so the photographs read like memory, not performance.
