What an amazing time we had a Wild Hearts in Tauranga last week. We are so proud to be the main sponsor of this wonderful event that is truly changing the face of wedding fairs in New Zealand. For those of you not familiar with Wild Hearts think fashion, food and festivities with a good dose of contemporary wedding inspiration and styling thrown in. The fairs are like a festival where like-minded creative wedding, foodie, fashion, design and lifestyle brands come together to show modern couples how they can celebrate their weddings in a more contemporary way. Even if you don’t have a wedding on the horizon you could still come along and have a jolly great day and be inspired in the areas of fashion, interior design and food.
Together Journal hosted the VIP ticket holders in a beautiful lounge space where they could relax and chat, with the celebratory sounds of Veuve Clicquot popping over the buzz of conversation and canapés by No Biggie Food being served. The area was styled to perfection with furniture provided by Two Foxes Styling, lush greenery by Lofthouse Garden and florals by Flowerette. Industry leaders including the lovely Greta, editor of Together Journal and the fantastic team from Miss Crabb were there to meet and greet guests. Not to mention the goodie bags were out of this world- packed to the brim with generous gifts from our fantastic vendors and sponsors.
Here are the beautiful Wild Hearts girls!
Twelve Tables sheltered the garden courtyard with one of their iconic clear marques, and the talented Shay from On My Hand flowered the space.
Over 35 talented vendors from around New Zealand and Australia too part in the event. The broad range of vendors included coffee vans, wine and beer stands, mini-workshops, fashion brand and shows, shopping and many other wedding and fashion industry leaders. Ataahua Garden Venue was the location for the first ever Tauranga Wild Hearts and it could not have been more perfect.  Topkata tipi tents were used to house the outdoor vendors.
The sensational Rachel Hamilton performed live, her beautiful voice and acoustic guitar serenading our guests for most of the day, with DJ Highkings taking over to spin live for our afternoon runway show.
Next, to the Together Journal VIP lounge Benny from World had a pop-up fragrance shop where he educated guests on the world of fragrance and finding their special scent for their wedding day. A big thank you to Benny for sharing his extensive knowledge and those beautiful World perfume goodie bags had us all smelling divine.
The talented vendors ranged from bridal designers, fashion designers, shoe designers, catering and cakes, furniture hire and styling, floral design, photographers, tents and marquees, stationery designers, food and drink providers. Tauranga was the very first Wild Hearts wedding fair of the year. There are still fairs t be held in Auckland, Christchurch, The Hawkes Bay and Queenstown. Event info can be found here.
