How would you describe your photography style, and what drew you to this particular way of capturing weddings?
I would describe my photography style as an authentic approach with an editorial edge. I love the natural moments of chemistry and emotion but who doesn’t love a little styled moment! I think this style is the perfect result of connection and art.
Can you tell us more about where you draw inspiration from and how this shapes the way you capture each celebration?
I am deeply inspired by dramatic landscapes, good lighting and all things beautiful. Compliment these things with a couple in love + their nearest and dearest.. magic! Couples who work with me have the same vision, and I love collaborating with them to bring their vision to life.

Many couples describe their wedding day as a whirlwind of emotions. How do you create a calm and comfortable space that allows people to simply be themselves in front of your camera?
This one is hugely important to me! I’m easygoing (yet hardworking) by nature and offer a space in front of my camera that is comfortable, enjoyable and easy for those having their photo taken! My directive approach is warm and always in line with what the couple are happy to do, nothing too serious.
What do you feel sets your photography apart from others in the industry, and what do couples often tell you they love most about working with you?
After 6+ years photographing love, I am confident I can manoeuvre myself in favour of flattering lighting and apply an edit that is complimentary to the location and vibe. I have had the most warming feedback that I am able to document the essence of people’s day while also having a professional and kind approach.

Can you walk us through your artistic process, from preparing for a wedding to curating the final album?
Certainly! I always endeavour to meet with my couples prior to the wedding. I feel these meetings are so valuable for me to get a feel for what is important to them on their wedding day. I love to get to know them a little and hear about their story. I pride myself on prompt and thorough communication – not leaving any question unanswered or anything unclear about what I’ll be doing or where I’ll be. The couple and I curate a timeline together that allocates my time in the places they would like me the most, so by the time the wedding day approaches we are totally on the same page. Post wedding, I will go through the album 1-2 times and select the photos to keep, develop and apply a unique edit that compliments their day, before another final check and finally delivery.
How do different locations, whether wild landscapes or intimate venues, shape the way you tell a couple’s story?
Venues and locations tell me so much about a couple! Whether it be their love of the land in front of them, or the beautifully curated ceremony space, or an intimate location with 10 of their loved ones – I will always incorporate their carefully thought out decisions into my day.

If you could photograph a wedding anywhere in the world, where would it be and why? Are there any dream destinations on your list for the coming years?
Italy, you have my heart! I am already so excited about the prospect of photographing love there. The Infrastructure looks incredible, the lighting looks soft and flattering, I have no doubt it’s a ‘when’ and not an ‘if’.
Wedding photography often involves capturing both the grand moments and the smallest details. Do you have a favourite part of the day to photograph, and why does it resonate with you?
I think each part of the day has something deeply beautiful about it- each comes with a different emotion. I do have a soft spot for the couples sunset portraits. At this section of the day the gloves are off, you’re married, it’s calm and full of love (and it has gorgeous lighting!)

What future projects or creative directions are you excited to explore in your photography journey?
Currently I have my sights set on a drone to add to my equipment. I’m so excited at the idea of getting that extra level of elevation at a ceremony space, in the mountains, a venue! Watch this space.
Choosing a photographer is such an important decision for couples. What advice would you give to those looking to find the right person to capture their wedding day?
Hiring a photographer for your wedding may often be the first time looking into a professional photographer. My advice would be to delve in! There are many talented photographers and different styles available. Find one whose artwork + personality align with yours wholeheartedly- and the feeling you get when booking a space with them is pure excitement.
