Being by the water in summer was something we had always pictured.
Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love…
We love spending time with the people closest to us. Beach days, time outdoors, and sharing meals and a few drinks with friends & family are what we love most. We also love travelling and checking out new places together.
How/where/when did you meet – and what were your first impressions?
We first met at the Pauanui skate park when we were 16, after our friends had started dating. We all ended up spending a lot of time together that summer. We remained friends over the years, and it wasn’t until our early twenties that it turned into something more.

Tell us about the vision you had for the mood and style of your wedding. (theme, key styling elements, florals, colour palettes etc.).
Being by the water in summer was something we had always pictured. With so many friends and family travelling from around the world to be with us, we wanted the day to feel warm, fun and relaxed, a chance for everyone to come together and celebrate.

What styling and visual elements worked best for you? (could be things, the florals, particular hire products or your marquee, etc., something the stylist created or simply just the scenic beauty of your location or the existing design of your venue).
The flowers were the standout, bringing colour and vibrancy, while everything else was kept simple – the setting already had its own magic, and we didn’t want to take away from that.

Tell us about your vendors. Were there any standout suppliers you would like to make special mention of?
We were fortunate to work with the most amazing vendors! Debbie and Hope at Black House were incredible! So great to work with, their florals completely set the mood for the day, beyond anything we had imagined. Gemma and Ryan from Le Roux were so fun & captured the day perfectly. We first met them at our friends wedding and later booked them for ours, they feel like part of our group now, and we’ll see them at another friends wedding soon.

What were one or two elements that were most important to you both that you were happy to spend a little more on? (food, photography, florals, the venue, your outfits?).
Good food was a must for us! Little Wolf had lot’s of choice & they even hosted a tas ng night for couples, which made picking the menu so much easier
Was there a favourite moment (or two) that you will treasure always?
We snuck away for sunset photos at the beach after dinner, it was nice to have a moment together with just the two of us and let everything soak in. The speeches were also memorable – full of laughs, chocolate throwing, a fake love letter, and an old secret being spilled!
