Briana + Jordan by Silvia Poropat

The venue completely spoke for itself — the light, the hills, the air, everything.

Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love…

Briana is a therapist in Los Angeles and runs a group practice called Sweetgrass Therapy. Jordan is a creative director and owns his own studio, Radiant City. Work-wise, we live in totally different worlds, but somehow complement each other perfectly. Outside of that, we’re happiest in nature, obsessed with every animal we meet, and are absolutely those people who plan entire weekends around restaurants and coffee shops we want to try. Food is basically our love language.

How/where/when did you meet – and what were your first impressions?

We actually met on the dating app Raya. After a couple of weeks of silly, borderline unhinged banter via text, our first date was at Thunderbolt in Los Angeles, and the conversation just never stopped. It immediately felt weirdly familiar, like we’d known each other for years. It was one of those dates where time evaporates, and you walk away thinking, “Oh… this might actually be something.”

What styling and visual elements worked best for you? (could be things, the florals, particular hire products or your marquee, etc., something the stylist created or simply just the scenic beauty of your location or the existing design of your venue).

Honestly, Tuscany was the styling. The venue completely spoke for itself — the light, the hills, the air, everything. It felt peaceful, romantic, and almost unreal. Our florals were the perfect finishing touch. Our florist is truly an artist; everything they created looked effortless but intentional, and it shaped the whole vibe of the weekend. It all felt like a dream, not a design board.

What did you enjoy most about the planning process, and do you have any tips for couples starting their wedding planning journey?

We planned the wedding in nine months, which I do not necessarily recommend unless you enjoy living on the edge. It was beautiful, but it was also… a lot.
What I enjoyed most was probably seeing the vision start to come together and realising, “Okay, this might actually work.” As a tip: don’t get lost in the noise — stay anchored in what feels like you. And choose vendors you genuinely trust, and who don’t challenge your vision.

Tell us about your vendors. Were there any standout suppliers you would like to make special mention of?

We are completely obsessed with our photographer, Silvia. She made us feel genuinely comfortable — and we are not natural-born models by any stretch. She told us exactly what to do, where to put our hands, how to move, and somehow made us look like our best, calmest selves. Her talent is unreal, and she was absolutely the standout of the weekend.

Tell us about your main outfits, what was unique, and is there a story?

Jordan had a custom tux made by J Mueser. My wedding dress was by Katherine Tash from LOHO Bride in Los Angeles, and my welcome party outfit was by Wiederhoeft  (also from LOHO). Nothing too dramatic in terms of backstory — it just felt special to have pieces that were unique to us and made for a moment we’ll never relive. That alone made them meaningful.

Tell us about your wedding and engagement rings.

All of our rings — my engagement ring, my wedding band, and Jordan’s band — are from XIV Karats in Beverly Hills. My wedding band has a unique chunky vibe but has four large diamonds on it, all in different shapes: one diamond cut, one round, one oval, and one pear. It feels bold, unique, and very me. Jordan’s band is like a mini version of mine — a gold band with smaller diamonds, each with its own shape as well. We love that they complement each other without being overly matchy. The funniest part is that we walked into XIV Karats thinking we’d get super simple, minimalistic gold bands… and walked out with these louder, statement rings that fit us so much better. Total plot twist, but the good kind.

What were one or two elements that were most important to you both that you were happy to spend a little more on? (food, photography, florals, the venue, your outfits?).

Photography was absolutely number one. Those photos are the things we’ll show our kids, our grandkids, and honestly stare at on the couch for years. We really wanted photos that felt emotional, lived-in, and shot on film — that was a non-negotiable for me. We also didn’t mind spending more on our outfits because we wanted to feel like the most ourselves. And honestly… in Tuscany? The florals and the venue deserved to shine, so we were comfortable investing there, too.

Was there a favourite moment (or two) that you will treasure always?

Yes — and the funniest part is that one of them started as a meltdown. When we arrived, there were swarms of bees everywhere. We were convinced the entire weekend was cursed. The venue handled it (no idea what they did, don’t want to know), and by the wedding day the bees were gone. I ended up weaving it into my vows because bees symbolise harmony, sweetness, family, hard work — everything marriage requires. It became this weirdly perfect metaphor for life together. Another treasured moment was having all our guests stay on-site the entire weekend. It felt like an adult summer camp, a vacation, and a wedding. Everyone left as friends, and that made it even more special.

What does being married mean to you, and are there any special rituals you have that you would like to share?

For us, being married means consistency — showing up even when life is messy, choosing each other on the days that aren’t picture-perfect, and creating a home that feels safe and warm. As for rituals, nothing fancy… just making intentional time for each other even when we’re busy. Checking in, being present, and keeping our connection a priority. It sounds simple, but honestly, that’s the magic.
