Natasha + Theo by La Dichosa

We wanted the wedding to feel intimate, timeless, and deeply romantic.

Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love…

We’re both founders at heart and deeply passionate about what we do. Tash is the Founder of Monday Swimwear and The Pilates Class, while Theo is the Founder of Shore Financial. Despite busy, global careers, what grounds us is a shared love of the sea, travel, beautiful spaces, and time spent with friends and family. We’re both Cancerians, so water, home, and emotional connection play a huge role in our lives. At our core, we love slow mornings, meaningful rituals, and creating moments that feel intentional and full of love.

How/where/when did you meet – and what were your first impressions?

We were introduced by a mutual friend in Sydney and spent just a fleeting week together — but it didn’t take long for us to fall in love. There was an immediate ease and familiarity between us. At the time, Tash was living in Los Angeles, but within a month, she flew back to Sydney to spend Christmas with Theo. From that moment on, everything felt aligned, and the rest truly is history.

Tell us about the vision you had for the mood and style of your wedding. (theme, key styling elements, florals, colour palettes, etc.).

Our vision was always led by feeling rather than formality. We wanted the wedding to feel intimate, timeless, and deeply romantic — inspired by relaxed al fresco evenings by the water. Capri holds immense sentimental value for us; it’s where Theo proposed the year prior, and as lovers of the sea, it felt like the most natural place to begin this next chapter. We allowed the location and sensory experience — the sounds, scents, views, and emotions — to guide every decision, all anchored around love.

What styling and visual elements worked best for you? (could be things, the florals, particular hire products or your marquee, etc., something the stylist created or simply just the scenic beauty of your location or the existing design of your venue).

The locations did so much of the work for us. Caesar Augustus Hotel, with its history, gardens, and dramatic cliffs, felt like stepping into a Slim Aarons photograph, while Il Riccio brought classic European beach club energy to the reception. The florals were intentionally organic and abundant, designed to feel as though they belonged to the landscape rather than competing with it. Lighting and music also played a huge role in creating atmosphere as the day turned into night.

What did you enjoy most about the planning process, and do you have any tips for couples starting their wedding planning journey?

We loved planning with intention — focusing less on trends and more on how we wanted the day to feel. Our biggest advice is to let the location guide you and to stay anchored in what matters most to you as a couple. When decisions are made through that lens, everything flows naturally. Trusting your vendors and allowing them creative freedom also makes the process infinitely more enjoyable.

Tell us about your vendors. Were there any standout suppliers you would like to make special mention of?

We feel incredibly grateful for every person involved in bringing the weekend to life. We were so lucky to work with a team of incredibly talented and thoughtful people, and it truly felt like a collective effort. Our venues were extraordinary, our planners made the entire process feel seamless and stress-free, and we’re so thankful for the care and dedication everyone brought to the celebration. A special thank you to our photographers, La Dichosa, for capturing the days so beautifully and authentically — the images genuinely reflect how it all felt in the moment.

Tell us about your main outfits, what was unique, and is there a story?

For the wedding day, both dresses were custom-designed — one by Steven Khalil and the other by Michael Lo Sordo — and each reflected a different mood of the day. The first felt timeless and romantic, while the second was designed with movement in mind so I could truly dance the night away — which I absolutely did. I’ve worn Michael Lo Sordo’s designs many times and always feel like the most feminine, confident version of myself in them, so choosing him for the second look felt incredibly natural. Both designers brought such inspiring energy to the process, making the experience even more special.

Tell us about your wedding and engagement rings.

Theo’s proposal in Capri was simple and intimate — just the two of us — which made it incredibly meaningful. When it came to the rings, we wanted everything to feel timeless and considered rather than trend-driven. I chose two wedding bands designed to hug my engagement ring, creating a balanced, seamless look that feels both classic and personal. Together, they’re pieces we’ll treasure for a lifetime.

What were one or two elements that were most important to you both that you were happy to spend a little more on? (food, photography, florals, the venue, your outfits?).

Photography was a priority — capturing the emotion, movement, and energy of the days felt incredibly important. We also placed great value on the overall guest experience, particularly the food, music, and setting, ensuring our friends and family truly had the night of their lives.

Was there a favourite moment (or two) that you will treasure always?

There were so many moments we’ll treasure forever. Watching the fireworks light up the sky during our reception was incredibly special — it felt surreal standing together, taking it all in. Our welcome drinks were also unforgettable, with our wedding party taking over the entire piazzetta to kick off what became an incredible few days of celebration. And our recovery day was probably one of our favourites of all — the perfect way to unwind and celebrate by the water, doing what we love most, surrounded by the people closest to us.

What does being married mean to you, and are there any special rituals you have that you would like to share?

Marriage, to us, is about choosing each other every day with intention, love, and respect. It’s about partnership, emotional safety, and building a life that feels grounded and joyful. We treasure simple rituals — shared meals, time by the water, slow mornings — the quiet moments that make up a life together.
