Marking the New Zealand label’s twentieth anniversary, the collection takes its name and inspiration from Prospect Cottage, the windswept coastal garden created by artist, filmmaker and poet Derek Jarman on the stark shingle landscape of Dungeness. Built in the shadow of a nuclear power station, Jarman’s extraordinary garden became a symbol of hope, ingenuity and the beauty that can flourish in unexpected places. Rich dahlia purples, photographic florals and handcrafted prints lend an artistic depth to the collection, with many of the cyanotype prints originating from plant specimens gathered and exposed by founder Gosia Piątek and her family before being translated into wearable artworks.
