HEIREST Sydney Pop

Step Inside HEIREST: Sydney, This One’s for You

If a beautiful piece of jewellery has been sitting somewhere on your wish list, the timing of The HEIREST Experience in Sydney could hardly be better. On Wednesday, 30 September, innovative New Zealand fine jewellery brand HEIREST will take over Prim Haus in Darlinghurst for its first international pop-up, giving Sydney jewellery lovers the opportunity to see, touch and try on the brand’s pieces in person.

And while we are always happy to browse diamonds for no particular reason at all, the timing is especially good for couples looking ahead to summer proposals and weddings.

For anyone considering an engagement ring, this is an opportunity to slow the process down and really understand what you are choosing. Try pieces on, look at different stones and settings, see how proportions feel on your hand and get a sense of the quality and craftsmanship behind each piece before making one of those rather significant decisions.

But the Sydney pop-up is also an opportunity to experience a very different approach to fine jewellery, because HEIREST is doing things in a way that feels decidedly new.

A New Zealand brand thinking globally

Born in New Zealand but created with global ambitions, HEIREST is a digitally native fine jewellery brand that combines traditional craftsmanship with some seriously clever technology.

Rather than following the conventional jewellery model of establishing an extensive network of permanent retail stores, HEIREST is predominantly online, choosing to meet its customers physically through curated pop-ups, events and personal service. The Sydney experience follows its first IRL pop-up in Auckland and represents the brand’s first international activation.

It is a model that makes sense. Without the considerable overheads associated with traditional high-street retail and large amounts of stock sitting in stores, HEIREST says it can direct those efficiencies towards more competitive pricing, technology and customer experience. Pieces are made to order rather than produced speculatively, an approach that also allows the brand to offer an unusually broad level of choice.

In a category where beautiful diamonds can traditionally feel somewhat intimidating or inaccessible, there is something refreshing about that transparency. HEIREST lets you explore, experiment and understand how your decisions affect both the finished piece and its price before committing.

Jewellery, authored by you

This is where the technology becomes particularly interesting.

HEIREST’s digital configurator offers more than 250,000 possible combinations across metals, diamonds, gemstones, cuts, sizes and settings. Your selections are rendered in photorealistic 3D in real time, while the price changes as you make them.

You might begin with a ring you already love and change the metal, stone or proportions. Perhaps you adore one design but have always imagined it with a different cut. Or you may arrive with a collection of references and want to create something entirely your own. For designs that extend beyond the configurator, HEIREST also offers a fully bespoke service, including access to natural diamonds and other gemstones.

And if you are completely stuck for inspiration, that is perfectly fine too. There is an extensive library of existing HEIREST designs to explore, from rings and earrings to tennis bracelets and necklaces. You can fall in love with something exactly as it is, use it as the starting point for your own design, or take your ideas further with the team.

Once ordered, the technology gives way to traditional craft. Every HEIREST piece is made to order by experienced artisans, with customers receiving updates throughout production, including an image of the selected stone before it is set and another of the completed piece before it is sent.

Perfect timing for proposals, and everything after

With summer approaching, September is rather perfect timing for anyone quietly contemplating a proposal. Seeing more than 200 pieces in person and being able to work through different possibilities with the HEIREST team could be particularly helpful if you know you want something special but have no idea where to begin.

The pop-up is by no means only for the newly engaged, however.

Wedding and eternity bands are an important part of the HEIREST offering, making this equally relevant for couples who already have the engagement ring firmly on the finger and are now thinking about what comes next. And then there are all the other excellent reasons for buying fine jewellery: an anniversary, a milestone birthday, a significant achievement, a future heirloom or simply something beautiful you have decided you would really like to own.

Whether your weakness is a pair of diamond earrings, a tennis bracelet, a tennis necklace, a wedding band or something entirely bespoke, this is a lovely opportunity to see what HEIREST is all about.

Sydney, save the date

The HEIREST Experience takes place at Prim Haus, 121 Riley Street, Darlinghurst, on Wednesday, 30 September 2026, from 10am until 4pm. Walk-ins are welcome, although bookings are recommended. Complimentary 30-minute appointments allow you to try on pieces, explore the configurator with the HEIREST team and work through your own design, with no obligation to purchase.

And if Sydney isn’t on your itinerary, do not despair. The point of HEIREST is that you don’t need to live near one of its physical spaces to access the collection. Its sophisticated online experience allows you to explore, design, customise and order from wherever you happen to be.

Still, if you are lucky enough to be in Sydney on 30 September, we would make the most of it. Technology may be changing the way we buy fine jewellery, but there is still something rather wonderful about slipping a diamond onto your finger, watching it catch the light and discovering that the piece you thought you wanted isn’t quite as perfect as the one you never expected to choose.

Walk-ins are welcome throughout the day; however, bookings are strongly recommended. Book here
