When we were first approached to be involved with Kai and Lisanne’s wedding we fell in love with their adventurous spirit and wanted to create something which reflected this.
Flying half way around the world from Germany, Kai and Lisanne wanted florals that were simple, rustic and unique. Given how dramatic the location was, we decided to go for a big statement archway to contrast the gritty dark sand textures and tussock terrain as well as complimenting the stunning bride and groom. The archway was designed with a Californian desert aesthetic in mind. The peach and cream roses along with the light purple hydrangeas were picked especially to compliment the light and dark tones of Lisanne’s bridal bouquet. The archway was created to feel unstructured and slightly wild, with pops of colour to really stand out in the desert tones. The experience of setting it up in freezing cold wind and small bouts of rain will forever stick in our minds but it was totally worth the final outcome – a very happy bride and groom with their wonderfully wilderness-inspired wedding.”
