By Your Side Socials – Content Creator

Turning fleeting wedding moments into timeless stories.

From stolen glances and spontaneous laughter to the quiet moments that often go unseen, By Your Side Socials a talented content creator, transforms fleeting memories into timeless love stories. Founded on a passion for storytelling and a hopelessly romantic heart, they bring a fresh, emotive perspective to modern weddings. Their work is heartfelt, cinematic, and deeply personal — a celebration of love in its most authentic form.

Your tagline — “content creators for the hopeless romantics” — so beautifully captures the heart of what you do. Can you share the story behind By Your Side Socials and how this passion project first came to life?

By Your Side Socials began from a simple love for storytelling and the realization that so many beautiful, fleeting wedding moments were being lived, but not captured in their raw, authentic ways. We wanted to create something that felt deeply personal; content that’s not just seen, but felt.  What started as a passion project has become a way for us to celebrate love stories in their purest form – unscripted, emotional, and a little bit magical. If there’s anyone on earth that’s a hopeless romantic, it’s me. And being able to not only capture, but create romance on screen (or phone) is somewhat my dream come true.

You often talk about capturing “the magic in the middle moments” — those glances, bursts of laughter, and fleeting emotions that can go unnoticed. Why do you think those unscripted moments hold so much power for modern couples?

It’s those blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moments that tell the truest version of a love story. The soft exhale before a first look. The way hands find each other in a crowd. The uncontrollable laughter when something goes not entirely to plan. Those are the memories that carry the heartbeat of the day – raw, imperfect, and entirely real.  For us, that’s where the magic lives, and we think that should be celebrated, documented, and most importantly for modern couples, laughed over in bed, the morning after your big day.

You often work closely alongside photographers and videographers. How do you approach those collaborations, and what do you feel sets your storytelling apart?

We see ourselves as part of a creative team: never in the way, but always in sync.  Our role is to complement the artistry of photographers and videographers, not compete with it. We capture what’s happening around their lens – the candid in-betweens, the moments that fill the silence between poses.  What sets us apart is our focus on emotion over perfection, crafting content that feels as effortless as it does intentional, and I think we do it really well.

Weddings move quickly and emotions run high. How do you stay present and ready to capture those once-in-a-lifetime details, while still allowing the day to unfold naturally and without interruption?

We move through the day quietly and intuitively – reading the room, feeling the rhythm. There’s an art to knowing when to step in, and when to simply be there. We blend into the background, capturing moments as they unfold naturally, while still staying alert for the magic that can happen in a heartbeat. We’ve often had brides tell us they didn’t even realise we were there during certain moments, and there’s a certain magic in knowing where to look, and when. It’s a balance of presence and patience – the sweet spot where authenticity thrives.

One of the most exciting parts of what you offer is how quickly couples receive their content. What are some of the reactions you’ve witnessed when they get to relive their wedding day within hours rather than months?

The proof really is in our reviews, and honestly, they still make me tear up every time I read them. Couples can hardly believe it when they’re watching back their first edits the night of their wedding. There’s this mix of disbelief, happy tears, and pure joy that it’s already there – the laughter, the emotion, the energy, all captured and ready to relive before the night has even ended.  The messages we receive are always filled with so much gratitude and excitement, and it’s those words that remind us how special this truly is, that we get to give people the gift of reliving their day while they’re still in the magic of it, and that this is my dream job.

You describe yourselves as an “extra set of eyes” on the day. Can you share a favourite memory or moment where your presence made a real difference for a couple?

Our role often extends far beyond that of a content creator. After months of chatting and planning alongside our couples, it’s impossible not to become genuinely invested – we want their day to unfold exactly as they’ve dreamed.  Recently, one of our couples had planned an outdoor reception when an unexpected burst of wind changed everything. In a split-second decision, we helped the team transition the entire setup indoors, ensuring it looked just as beautiful and continued seamlessly. Later, our bride couldn’t believe we’d jumped in to help, but for us, it’s all part of being by their side.  It’s not only moments like that, but the little ones too – topping up champagne, fluffing veils and dresses, fixing a broken heel – doing whatever it takes to make sure the day not only looks beautiful, but feels it too.

Once the day is over and you’re crafting the final edits, how do you approach the creative direction to ensure the finished content feels authentic to each couple and their story?

When we sit down to edit, we’re not just piecing together clips, we’re telling their story. We always start with emotion: a hero shot that really spoke to us when capturing, how the day felt. From there, we weave the visuals, the tone, the soundtrack – all in a way that feels true to their personality and energy. No two weddings are ever edited the same, because no two love stories are.

Your work strikes such a beautiful balance between raw, heartfelt emotion and editorial polish. Where do you draw your creative inspiration from, and how does that influence your style?

Our inspiration comes from everywhere – classic inspiration like old film photos & fashion campaigns through to the more modern media like TikTok & Pinterest boards. European summers, books – lots, and lots of books & even the way light hits a veil just right.  We’re drawn to contrast: the elegance of an editorial frame with the emotion of a fleeting glance. That’s the balance we’re always chasing – raw yet refined, timeless yet modern.  It’s storytelling that feels cinematic, but never staged.

Travel and destination weddings — from Tuscany to the Southern Highlands — are such a big part of your story. How does being on the move shape the way you capture and create?

Travel keeps our creativity alive. It’s something that has not only been engrained in our soul since young, but drives us more than anything else.  Every destination brings a new rhythm, new light, and new stories to tell. Whether it’s a Tuscan villa, a pinch-me-moment we were able to capture just this last month, or a coastal winery, we find inspiration in the atmosphere – the culture, the architecture, the way love feels in that particular place.  It reminds us that no two celebrations are ever alike, and that’s what keeps our work so personal and inspired.

For couples who love the idea of having a content creator but aren’t quite sure if it’s right for them, what advice would you offer to help them decide?

If you’re someone who wants to relive your wedding as it happened – the real, unfiltered moments, then having a content creator might just be the best decision you make. It’s not about replacing your photographer or videographer; it’s about adding another perspective, another layer of storytelling. If the thought of seeing your love story unfold in all its imperfect, beautiful chaos makes your heart skip a beat – then it’s absolutely for you. And we know just the team… (it’s us, in case you were wondering).
