Camilla + Silvia by Erica Brenci Studio

The aesthetic was minimalist and monochrome, with a warm, neutral palette that created an atmosphere of quiet elegance and closeness.

Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love…

Silvia is an anesthesiologist, the rational half of the couple—empathetic, calm, and deeply human. Camilla, on the other hand, has always worked in the music industry. She’s creative, emotionally intense, and detail-obsessed. If Silvia brings the heart, Camilla brings the structure. Their personalities are perfectly complementary: Camilla is highly organised, with a near-compulsive attention to planning and visual harmony, while Silvia is more instinctive and disorganised, but incredibly attuned to people and emotions. What binds them is their mutual admiration for what the other brings to the relationship—logic meets emotion, rigour meets spontaneity. They both share a love for storytelling, art, and music, which played a huge role in how they envisioned their wedding. The contrast between them not only defines their personal dynamic but also shapes the design, rhythm, and emotional texture of their celebration.

How/where/when did you meet – and what were your first impressions?

We met on Tinder—just like any modern love story—in Milan, back in 2018. Our first impressions were, well… honest. Camilla wasn’t impressed with Silvia’s sense of style; she thought her outfit choices were a bit mismatched and maybe too casual. Silvia, on the other hand, sensed a bit of insecurity in Camilla’s presentation, but something told her there was potential for something big—perhaps even life-changing. Despite the surface-level judgments, there was an immediate energy between us. We laughed easily, and conversation flowed in an almost uncanny way. What started with some scepticism quickly turned into fascination, and from fascination into love. That early honesty, as unfiltered as it was, laid the foundation for a relationship rooted in mutual respect, deep affection, and playful contrast.

Tell us about the vision you had for the mood and style of your wedding.

Our vision was clear from the beginning: we wanted the wedding to feel like an intimate celebration of love, not just between us, but shared with the people who truly care about us. It wasn’t about excess—it was about emotion, style, and connection. The aesthetic was minimalist and monochrome, with a warm, neutral palette that created an atmosphere of quiet elegance and closeness. We avoided anything overly styled or trendy. Instead, we focused on subtle textures, intentional lighting, and design choices that allowed our personalities—and the feelings of the day—to breathe. We wanted our guests to feel not like spectators, but like protagonists in a story that celebrated connection, identity, and authenticity. Music, space, and details were all curated to evoke a sense of modern intimacy.

What styling and visual elements worked best for you?

Flowers were one of the biggest surprises. We didn’t have massive expectations, but our florist created something truly moving—sculptural arrangements that enhanced the venue without overwhelming it. Another standout was the table design: minimalist mise en place with each guest’s initials hand-lettered at their place setting, and a personalised floral gift wrapped in custom paper for everyone at the end of the night. It was our way of saying thank you. We also created signature cocktails that carried our names—blending flavours that reflected each of us—and served them at a bar designed just for the event. Every element felt personal, and the sum of these small, intentional touches created something far more powerful than any large-scale display could have.

What did you enjoy most about the planning process, and do you have any tips for couples starting their wedding planning journey?

We loved the creative process—especially the chance to personalise everything, from music to florals to the guest experience. But planning can be overwhelming, and our biggest tip is: hire a planner. Without one, it can become exhausting, even for people who are naturally organised. A professional helps translate your vision into something cohesive and beautiful, especially when you’re not sure how to articulate what you want. Trust your vendors, too—when they’re aligned with your style, they become creative partners. Let them guide you. They see things you might miss, and their expertise is invaluable. The planning journey should be joyful, not stressful. And for us, the joy came when we allowed ourselves to delegate and collaborate without micromanaging every moment.

Tell us about your vendors. Were there any standout suppliers you would like to make special mention of?

We couldn’t have asked for better collaborators. Every vendor brought empathy, professionalism, and creative clarity. The fact that the entire team was made up of women likely added a certain intuitive magic—there was a shared sense of care, softness, and mutual understanding. Everyone involved seemed to “get” us right away. No one tried to push us into a pre-packaged wedding style. Instead, they built on our ideas and elevated them. From the florist to the photographer, everyone moved with grace and authenticity. It felt like working with friends who also happened to be incredibly talented professionals.

Tell us about your main outfits, what was unique, and is there a story?

The outfits represented the essence of our personalities. Camilla has always dreamed about wedding fashion—she’s been collecting bridal references for years—while Silvia was more practical. But both dresses were custom-designed by Maura Brandino, who understood us immediately. She proposed a contrast in textures: silk and macramé for Silvia to echo her softness and complexity; hemp cotton and organza for Camilla to match her structure and clean lines. The cuts were different, yet complementary, just like us. The process of creating these dresses became symbolic—a tangible way of expressing who we are, both separately and together.

Tell us about your wedding and engagement rings.

Our rings were designed by Linea Oro and made using a rare artisanal technique with Sardinian sand, resulting in a porous texture inside each ring. Each one is unique—handmade, and never cast in series. They used ethical, sustainable gold, and the design feels like a piece of earth sculpted into jewellery. The engagement ring was hidden in a bowl of blueberries during Camilla’s birthday brunch in 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic. Silvia knew Camilla’s favourite colour was blue and thought it would be the perfect little secret hiding in plain sight.

What were one or two elements that were most important to you both that you were happy to spend a little more on?

Music was undoubtedly the soul of the day. It was an investment, but one that made all the difference—it elevated the entire experience. Silvia’s background as a music designer brought a curatorial approach to the soundtrack of the celebration. We also splurged a bit on florals. Initially, we didn’t consider them a major focus, but the final result blew us away. They turned out to be emotionally resonant and visually stunning, and gifting them to our guests in personalised wrapping was a detail that meant so much.

Was there a favourite moment (or two) that you will treasure always?

For Camilla, it was hiring a marching band to surprise Silvia and keep her dancing all night—it was pure joy. For Silvia, the most emotional moment came when her family, who’s part of a village music band, performed a surprise musical tribute. It was a tearful, soulful gift and felt like a full-circle moment—music, love, and family all colliding beautifully. Those shared, unexpected gifts of emotion are what we’ll carry with us forever.
