The first person to congratulate us was a dog walker who had seen the proposal and kindly took some photos for us; we then went to one of the hotels that line Hyde Park for bubbles to celebrate.”
We’re both 31 years old and living our best lives in Amsterdam. We share a great passion for traveling and have made quite the list of memorable experiences together, from hiking through mountain passes in China and taking salsa classes (quite awkwardly) in Colombia to sharing a cup of camel milk on the highlands of Kazakhstan.

J. I am enthusiastic, bubbly, and passionate, while Nic is steady, calm and thoughtful. Together we are the perfect balance and make a great team. We love to drink coffee and go on adventures, and even better when the adventure involves coffee. We’ve been renovating our house for the last 15 months, so it has been a busy year alongside wedding planning and lockdown restrictions.

We both live pretty chaotic lifestyles – along the lines of Grey’s Anatomy! We are both doctors working at a big city hospital – Anthony works in Infectious Diseases so COVID has kept him occupied in the last years. Josh works in Cardiology – so when Anthony is having a break from the frontline and is finally ready to relax – Josh is most likely working on the next heart attack. Time off together though rare, is special and always cherished.

Karan works in IT, and I’m an events planner. He’s super laid back, and I’m a details person. So safe to say opposites attract. We have a mutual love of travelling and spicy food. Most of our spare time involves trying new dishes that we share with friends and family, reminiscing about travels across Asia – and planning for the next trip, and doing projects on our new old home that we love.

Jase is a farmer and manages the sheep and beef station we live on here in the beautiful Wairarapa. I’m a chronic university student (I say chronic because it’s been 5 years and I’m yet to escape) exploring agriculture and environmental science.

Eli is a plumber, and I am a part time floral assistant, full time teaching student. We both were born & raised in Perth – only a couple of suburbs away from each other for most of our lives! We love people, spending time in the ocean, camping around the South West of WA, getting too competitive during family board game nights, indulging in Italian food, and we love a good dance floor.
How/where/when did you meet – and what were your first impressions?
We met in February 2014, out in St Kilda at a bar through a mutual friends. We were both the designated drivers for the night.

MB: Dan is a landscaper with his own business, and I am a youth worker for children under the guardianship. We live in Eden Hills, SA which is a lovely green/leafy area in the foothills of Adelaide. We have a one-year-old son, Noah, and two dogs, Lulu and Frankie.
We met in the summertime – seven years ago. Amber (my maid of honour) and I were going out for a night of champagne and dancing. Ryan and Paddy (our ring bearer) had just finished a game of cricket and had been drinking beers in the sun.
I think we also knew we’d spend our lives together earlier than usual relationships due to the fact that four months in, Matt was deployed as part of his defence force job. Being away from each other for seven months definitely had its challenges but it also solidified our commitment to each other and that we could face any other challenges that could come our way.
