It sounds like something out of a storybook but the moment my eyes fell on Nina in that first business meeting, I knew that I would marry her. Every day that we spent together in that first couple of months reinforced the feeling I had had the first time we had met.

We are both very different people, but have a lot that brings us together. We both love to spend time together at home, watching a movie. I have a Honours degree in Psychology and work in mental health, and Callum is working on his business degree while working full time in business development.

Rosalie is a PhD student in Epidemiology and Connor is a professional show jumper/horse trainer. We are adventurous, animal-loving, free-spirited, good-time seeking type of people!
How/where/when did you meet – and what were your first impressions?
We met the old-fashioned way! Lewis and I met in 2010 at the then popular Adelaide night spot, Rocket Bar. Perhaps a few mojitos gave Lewis the Dutch courage to strike up a conversation with me. We stayed together for the whole night and chatted away until the sun came up.

KL- I am a student midwife, I love everything about babies! I love cuddling on the couch and watching tv together at night to unwind from our days. Ryan loves American football, and pretty much all sports. He is currently studying as well but is doing his PhD in criminology.

Vicky: Ben manages a pub in Chelsea in London – food and wine are two of his biggest passions, along with design, music… and antiquing! He absolutely loves socialising and hosting, and has always been a bit of self-designated ‘social chair’ among friends.

Garrett and I (Rachel) spend a majority of our time traveling; he plays professional baseball, so we’re on the road about 3-4 times per month. We love exploring new cities and finding our favourite little coffee shops and cafes. When we’re home, we love to play with our dog, read, go on walks, hangout in the backyard, paint, and go on date nights.

How/where/when did you meet – and what were your first impressions?
H – We met in our first year at uni in the halls down at Massey university in Palmerston North in 2013. Max was late to start uni as he was helping with his Family’s Farm at the yearling sales and his friend Chris had told me a bit about him. When he finally arrived I thought he was a bit of alright, a funny guy and pretty cool.
M – I could tell straight away that she was really kind, cute, sweet and a little bit awkward.
We are bringing back an edit of our top-performing real weddings from the TJ archives. These are our very best weddings that our audience has loved the most, and the ones we think are still very relevant and aspirational.

I’m a photographer and Jordan is an industrial designer. We met on a friend’s fire escape in Dunedin. Jordan had moved there for work and I was two weeks away from moving to Auckland.
MA: To my husband, we are only a couple months into our marriage but I am so excited to see where our future takes us. Like I said in my vows to you, I will continue to choose you every day and be your biggest cheerleader in life. I love you today, tomorrow, and for the rest of our lives!
AM: To my wife, I love you more than you could ever know. I am so blessed to have found you and there’s nothing that I wouldn’t do to make you happy! Here’s to many more years of love, laughs and happiness. I love you Monica, forever and always.
