Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love…
We work for a college ministry! We both came to know the Lord and really invest in our faith in college and are now passionate about sharing Jesus on the college campus!
How/where/when did you meet – and what were your first impressions?
We met in college through a college ministry! Braden was a year older than me in school but we ran in the same group and became great friends in college! I had always admired Braden’s faith and he had always easily been one of my favorite people. My (Danielle) last year of college, Braden asked me on a date and it didn’t take long for us to figure out we wanted to date forever!
When did you first realise that this was someone you’d like to spend the rest of your life with?
Braden half-jokes that it was before we started dating but I would say that we both had moments of being with each other’s families where we saw the other person interacting/blending in with the people we love and knew we would marry if God had that for us.
Was there a proposal? Tell us a little about it…
The proposal was in the Whichita Mountains. Braden wrote me a letter and had his sister bring it to me the Saturday of the engagement. I woke up to a letter from Braden that told me today was the day he would be proposing to me! The letter included a schedule of my day from time with my best friends, to nails with my mom and sister. Braden planned a whole day for me to be surrounded by the people I love. It is a day I will remember forever!
Tell us about the vision you had for the mood or style of your wedding…
I wanted elegant, timeless, a bit whimsical and full of joy! I wanted greens, florals, and garden-like elements all while feeling elegant and timeless.
What was one element you were happy to splurge on?
Danielle: Florals, photography or a planner! Everyone who contributed to our day is so special to us and made our day everything and more!
Braden: DJ.
Did anything happen on your wedding day that you laugh about in hindsight (even if it was stressful at the time)?
Danielle: Braden kicked my dress out of the way in the middle of our ceremony- that is something that I had never seen or heard of happening before haha! Although that might sound like a nightmare to some, it is a moment from our wedding that we still laugh at today! I wanted the day to feel very genuine and easy, that definitely contributed to it feeling very authentic haha!
Tell us about your main outfits, what was unique, is there a story?
We just wanted a timeless yet unique look! Georgia Fowler was an inspiration for the wedding!
