Romantic Couple Shoot in Paris

When our parents walked us down the aisle, and our friends witnessed it, we all cried happy tears.

Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love…
About me (Danny), I graduated with a Design specials in Fashion. As long as I can remember fashion is my passion, I hope in the near future I able to show what I have created to the world but for now, I had a huge opportunity to create our wedding suit, and that means everything to me. I currently work as a Display Manager for Zara.

How/where/when did you meet – and what were your first impressions?
We matched on tinder, In front of H&m was where I first met him on 26/06/2018, Jesse is very genuine, warm and caring. our first date was pretty long I remembered, he was late lol but he sure did make it all up thru the date. we had late lunch then drinks, then dinner then drinks some more again and our final location was Melbourne Exhibition, We kissed for a while there, It was magical

When did you first realise that this was someone you’d like to spend the rest of your life with?
Being with Jesse I feel love, respect and understanding. He is awesome in so many ways, A tough guy not showing much emotion but he notices you, he knows what you really want and needs. and I haven’t felt like that ever, who would have thought finding love is that easy? I know I have won a lottery ticket. every day I spend with him I know for sure he is the one.

Was there a proposal? Tell us a little about it…
We had a long-distance period not long after officially boyfriend, he planned to live in the UK for a couple of years before we met, tbh it was like hell thru that time, things were up and down, but we tried, including his family, they are super supportive, and we made it thru a long year apart, during that time I thought a lot about proposing him, and I asked his parents for the blessing and the said “ if someone could make him happy, its only you Danny”. We reunion in Sai Gon, Vietnam where my sister had her engagement, we travelled as well as celebrated her big day, and then we went to Singapore for the weekend and I popped the question in the middle of Clake Quay. He said yes with a big smile on his face.

Tell us about the vision you had for the mood or style of your wedding…
I planned the entire wedding in 6 weeks with my best friend’s help, Jesse was like “I trust you, I will just show up on the wedding day”. So 6 weeks on a budget, we managed to pull it off on the same day that we first met, on 26.06.2022 poetic, romantic with a modern twist. Non-tradition black tie was the theme. If you know me well, I often change the rules of fashion and it works for me. Everything came along exactly as I envisioned it to be.

A note from Maegan: Danny and Jesse reached out to me over Instagram because they saw that I had shared I was travelling to Europe. Danny reached out and asked if I’d be in Paris during the same time they would be there (they were going on their Honeymoon) because they loved my photography and loved the idea of having a couple shoot in Paris. What a dream!! All of the stars aligned and we met up on the other side of the world for the first time. It’s so funny because all three of us live in Melbourne about 2 suburbs apart, but the fact that we met in PARIS of all places was just amazing. Danny and Jesse lugged their wedding outfits all the way over to Paris and we had the most amazing couples photo session in Paris as the sun was going down. We took photos infant of the glistening Eiffel Tower as the sun was setting – it was magical. We saw so many people proposing to their love by the river with the Eiffel Tower in the background, so the love was definitely in the air, which just added to the beautiful atmosphere. It was perfection!!! What a small and beautiful world, hey?!
