The Wellington-based Hivern is a new kind of home fragrance brand that bonds scents with memories to transform space and mood.
Inspired by the inextricable link between scent and memory, co-founders and spouses Tamara and Christopher Tubbs have developed a range of 100% hand poured Soy candles and diffusers that come with a curated playlist inspired by the origin of the perfume.
Both Tamara and Christopher have spent the last 20 years travelling the world. Christopher, spending summers in Ibiza DJing and Tamara while working in London and Paris as a fashion buyer. Finding inspiration from travel, six unique scents recall their favourite places.
To enhance the subconscious meditation found in the ritual of lighting a candle, each scent comes with a curated playlist by Christopher to amplify the aroma.
“For us, lighting a candle and listening to music is a very special and personal pleasure,” says Christopher. “Sometimes it’s the simple things that positively transform our spaces and moods and act as a reminder to slow down and be present in these moments”.
