IAMMI transforms the ordinary daily skincare routine into a revitalizing five-minute well-being practice.
IAMMI was born amid the looming stress epidemic, which has particularly impacted women, subjecting them to unparalleled levels of stress and burnout. By harnessing the power of both the app and specially designed products, IAMMI fosters a preventive approach to combatting these overwhelming feelings.
The app and products work synergistically, promoting a proactive practice that empowers individuals to take charge of their well-being, addressing stress and burnout before they take a toll. IAMMI strives to offer a supportive solution to counteract the challenges posed by modern-day stressors, helping people, especially women, lead healthier and more balanced lives.
Proudly a locally developed brand IAMMI consists of three exquisite skincare products, all crafted in New Zealand. Alongside these luxurious offerings, IAMMI presents organic facecloths designed to enhance your skincare experience. But IAMMI is more than just skincare; it’s a holistic approach to well-being. With their complimentary app, IAMMI transforms the ordinary daily skincare routine into a revitalizing five-minute well-being practice. Experience the fusion of beauty and mindfulness with IAMMI, nurturing your skin and uplifting your spirit, all in one delightful package.
“It can be really challenging to find the time for wellbeing,” explains IAMMI founder Mimi Gilmour Buckley. “IAMMI takes time you already have and a routine you already do and creates a powerful daily habit. Skincare is a natural place to start because of the deep connection between the skin and the mind. Plus, it was during my skincare routine that I first realised how small, repeated daily habits can positively impact mental health.”
Six years ago, Mimi’s daughter Olympia was born with quadriplegic spastic cerebral palsy and epilepsy. Searching for ways to cope following the birth, Mimi started to repurpose the empty time she spent washing her face into a self-care practice. In this quiet time, she’d remind herself to let go of what she couldn’t control and focus on what she could. She began to feel stronger. As Mimi studied the brain to learn about Olympia’s condition, she started to understand the science behind daily habits and why this simple action was having such profound results. These learnings would later blossom into IAMMI.

A community of over 300 passionate supporters (including our editor Greta) rallied behind the brand during its 2022 Kickstarter campaign, lending their encouragement and backing to help IAMMI become a reality. It is this collective effort and collaboration that has made IAMMI a truly special and holistic venture, a testament to the power of teamwork and shared vision.
The skincare suit is designed to be used in conjunction with the following App:
The IAMMI app is free to use and available through Apple’s App Store, with an Android version slated for release later this year.
There are three key elements to the app:
● My Story: This is a cognitive behaviour therapy-inspired practice where users identify how they are currently feeling and then how they want to feel, and also what areas of life they’re seeking inspiration or education.
● My Daily Practice: This is intended to be listened to during skincare routines. Users are led through the IAMMI Intention, a 20-second daily affirmation designed to calm and centre the mind before they’re played an inspiring 2-4 minute piece of audio called a Life Bite. These are stories and advice from contributors who are either experts in their fields or who have wisdom to share. The ever-growing list of contributors includes entrepreneur Anna Mowbray, resilience expert Dr Lucy Hone, social changemaker Nayzel Sushil, gynaecologist Dr Amelia Ryan, and many others.
● My Skin: This allows users to track their skin health each day and also features expert-penned advice and recommendations about the skin.
The IAMMI business model is designed to support charities, initiatives and organisations that align with their values.
The first charity IAMMI wants to highlight is The Starship Foundation, supporting Starship Children’s Hospital, which provides families like Olympia’s with the vital help they need. They give $1 from every Olympia Glow sold to this incredible organisation, which works tirelessly to ensure healthcare equity for all New Zealand children.
