Isabella: We’re both pretty chill people. Travelling is something we enjoy doing together and some of our best memories have been from our many trips. We’re real foodies and love to cook for our family and friends. We actually just celebrated our 10 year anniversary which is crazy to think that we’ve spent a decade of our lives together already.
Two of our friends introduced us, right at the end of year 12 at high school when we were studying for our upcoming exams. My girlfriend convinced me to tag along to one of her study dates at the state library in the city as her date was bringing a ‘friend’… the rest is history. And when you know, you know.
Rob proposed in Santorini just over four years ago. He was so nervous the whole entire day, at one point he wouldn’t even swim at the beach because he started to feel sick. The proposal happened just outside our Airbnb where there was a gorgeous lookout, just as the sun set. We didn’t really have a vision for our wedding apart from the fact that we both love Italy and Positano was a place we hadn’t travelled to before. The streets were so gorgeous and Bek our photographer captured the most beautiful photos of us roaming the town.
We had so many laughs on our actual wedding day. It was about 35 degrees that day and we nearly lost Rob on the boat from heat stroke! We had a Polaroid taken of us on the boat and when we got back to the Airbnb I tried to take a photo of it on my phone but as luck would have it, the photo flew out of my hand into the garden below our balcony. Let’s just say it was a mission to get it back but it’s now safely on our fridge at home.
