JAMIE + NATASHA by Shae Estella

Tell us a little bit about yourself, what do you do, what do you love, what is unique about you and your relationship…..

We met through mutual friends when we were in our early twenties and there was just something there from day one.

We have such a simple straightforward love story – but it’s ours and it’s perfect! Early on it was clear we both had a passion for travel and exploring new destinations. Over the next 6 years we travelled all over the globe to some beautiful, fun and unique places. We don’t think we will ever loose our desire to keep travelling.

We have been very lucky to experience our twenties together. Meeting young was such a beautiful thing, we have grown and experienced so much together that we are so grateful for. At the end of the day, we are two simple people in love and can’t wait for our next chapter as husband and wife.

Our number one factor about the whole day all along was ensuring our family felt relaxed, comfortable and in love all day. We always knew that we wanted to have a very small intimate wedding- the biggest decision was where! We decided on Santorini as the location

because of the absolute beauty of the island. We had travelled to Santorini a few times before and fell in love with not only its breath-taking scenery but also the relaxed and friendly hospitality of the Greek people, we just couldn’t go past such a beautiful location. We chose Dana Villas early on as our venue because it was just the most perfect size for our wedding and it provided so much privacy for the dinner reception. Also, it provided the most amazing views of the caldera and Santorini’s cliffs the whole day- every where you looked was a postcard moment.

We kept the styling really very simple – we didn’t want to take away from the stunning caldera view and allowed that to be the main attraction. We wanted to try and keep it modern, yet timeless. At the end of the day we kept going back to simplicity. We had a very neutral colour scheme and kept all decor very light to whites and greens- trying to keep it fresh and timeless.

Having a long table as apposed to round ones was just perfect for our reception. Coming back down to the number of family there everyone felt united being at the same table. As silly as it may sound, that was probably our favourite styling factor.

Tell us about your main outfits

Being a very relaxed wedding, we wanted to ensure we weren’t overdressed. I saw the Grace Loves Laces NIA on my first day shopping and nothing else compared to it. It was simple yet a little sexy and just so timeless also perfect for the location- as well so comfortable to wear!

Grace Loves Lace made the whole shopping experience so enjoyable and easy and I just knew in the back of my head from day one- it was the one.

Jamie decided to not wear a tie to dress down the suit a bit. Again, coming back to making sure everyone was relaxed and comfortable we thought having a full suit and tie would be just a little bit too much- also the heat was another factor in the back of our minds.

MJ Bale has been a favourite of Jamie’s for a while so there was no double thinking of who to go to for the perfect wedding attire.

What were some of the most memorable/favourite moments of the day?

The whole day was just so magical it’s hard to pinpoint a few elements. Sitting at the dinner overlooking the caldera while the sunset was surreal- we still can’t believe it really happened. We really wanted the day to be relaxed and stress-free – and it was. From getting hair and

Any advice for other couples planning on spending the rest of their lives together?

It’s so easy to get caught up on the small things when planning your big day. The day is about marrying the love of your life and promising to spend forever with them- don’t forget that point whilst planning and keep coming back to it. Try to stick to what you as a couple want, it’s your day and it’s about you and celebrating your love.
