We always knew we wanted our wedding to have a fun, relaxed vibe. We didn’t have a bridal party, no first dance or any of that. It was a short meaningful ceremony, followed by a party with our nearest and dearest.
Jayde —— I’m currently a stay-at-home mum and Scott works for a landscape/excavation company. We have two beautiful, cheeky kids who we love spending our time with, going on adventures around Melbourne’s Mornington Peninsula. We met at a football function almost nine years ago. There was an instant connection. We’ve been inseparable ever since. We both knew from very early days that we had met our forever person.
Scott proposed when we were in Noosa with our two kids. On our fourth night there he popped the question. Mid-proposal our daughter Parker was feeding a pelican and it bit her hand. She was fine (lol). It was a perfectly imperfect proposal.

If there was one thing we allowed ourself to splurge on it was 100 percent our photographer, Justin. You cannot put a price tag on the memories the photographer captures on your special day. We had planned to have our professional photos taken at a beautiful conservation park, however, on the day of the wedding, we found out it was closed. We decided to take them in the industrial estate just outside of the wedding venue, and we honestly couldn’t be happier with the end result.
My wedding dress was the first dress I tried on. I knew the moment I put it on, that it was the one.
Scott —— I wanted to go traditional for my wedding suit, but also add some touches to make it more meaningful. The jacket was velvet with my initials, Jayde’s initials, and our kids’ initials stitched on the inside.
